President Donald Trump lashed out at ABC on Monday evening for daring to report on his inaccurate statement on Hurricane Dorian. Most amazing of all is that the president appears to suggest his mistaken statement wasn’t really mistaken even though he was very publicly corrected by the National Weather Service.

Trump tweeted Sunday that “in addition to Florida – South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated.” That immediately led to questions because no one had mentioned any risk for Alabama. But this wasn’t an isolated mistake. Trump also told reporters at the White House that “Alabama is going to get a piece of it, looks like.”

If Dorian was rocking through the Gulf of Mexico, then yeah, Alabama would have a problem. But, since it is staying on the east coast and going up, there is no way in hell that Alabama would be hit. And, it's currently hanging out just off the east coast of Florida.

No, it's not hard to tell who is telling the truth, all you need is a track for where the hurricane is projected to go, with it being overlaid on a map of the USA.

When you look at the facts, it's obvious who doesn't know what they are talking about, and it's Trump.

Dorian was originally given a 50-50 chance of ending up in the Gulf, which is what Trump was citing initially.

Since then, it has veered further north and east than expected, going into colder Atlantic water and weakening.

Had Dorian gotten loose in the Gulf, it would've gone to a Cat 4 or 5 very quickly, because the Gulf water is HOT.
