Trump's New York Hush-Money Case Will Start March 25. It's The First Criminal Trials.

And if you had a brain you'd know it's a distinction without a difference since the most common penalty for what Trump is being accused of is a fine.

I'm literally talking to know-nothing hacks who think the AP is credible, and that anyone still fucking cares about Stormy Daniels or even knows who she is at this point.
Everyone knows who Stormy Daniels is, loser.

Especially Melania.

Will she be at the trial, you think?

I don't think she gets closer than one end of Mara Lago than him. This assumes she is even in Florida.

Nobody is loved in NY more than Trump
Look at all the good he has done for the people of NYC.
I can’t imagine anyone in NY would believe Trump would cheat on his wife and pay off a Porn Star

He is too good a man
Look at the people from the hoods crying like bitches as they continue to vote for people who are screwing them over. Whether Trump is loved or not the truth is he talks like they do.

Law Professor Jonathan Turley said the Bragg case is Bullshit.

“I think it is ridiculous,” Turley said. “[Bragg] is trying too hard. There comes a point when you try too hard and this is that point that what Bragg is doing is bootstrapping of an alleged federal crime and converting it into a state prosecution. That’s a crime that the Department of Justice did not find grounds to prosecute.

Cohen didn't use his own money.
Actually, he did. He used a HELOC to pay off Trump's mistress.

Your propagandists are keeping you idiots in the dark. Why do you listen to them?!?

Of course not. They are convening a judge and jury because they are bored.

No. You can't use your money to burn down a house. Election laws can impact.
You type shit with no proof.

I like to quote legal experts:

Potential charge: Bookkeeping fraud

The New York Times has reported that the case may include a potential charge of falsifying business records under Article 175 of the New York Penal Law. A conviction for a felony version of bookkeeping fraud carries a sentence of up to four years.

To prove that Mr. Trump committed that offense, prosecutors would seemingly need evidence showing that he had knowingly caused subordinates to make a false entry in his company’s records “with intent to defraud.” For the action to be a felony rather than a misdemeanor, prosecutors would also need to show that Mr. Trump falsified the business records with the intention of committing, aiding or concealing a second crime.

Bookkeeping fraud has a two-year statute of limitations as a misdemeanor and a five-year one as a felony, both of which would normally have expired for payments made to Mr. Cohen in 2017. But New York law extends those limits to cover periods when a defendant was continuously out of state, as Mr. Trump was while living in the White House or at his home in Florida. In addition, during the pandemic, New York’s statute of limitations was extended by more than a year.
Dissecting Charges That Could Arise From the Trump Investigations

S 175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree.
A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree
when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second
degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit
another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.
Falsifying business records in the first degree is a class E felony.
EXACTLY!! What is that "second crime"? Hint: It has nothing to do with elections.

I agree
I doubt Trump would face jail time on this as a first time offender. Even though Cohen went to jail for his role.
But he would have a felony conviction
Please see my post #112. For it to be a felony it has to cover up a 2nd crime.
Bragg thinks it violates election law....it doesn't. There is no 2nd crime.

You may be right, but that's not how the charges have been described. I keep hearing "illegal hush money payments" not an illegal business expense
You are ignorant because you keep listening to "Fox News legal analysts" who are gaslighting the living fuck out of you.

Here's an idea: Read the indictment for yourself.

I know this is a tremendous intellectual challenge for you since the indictment is longer than a "Truth" Social post. Maybe you can find someone on TV to read it to you.

Here it is: https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/04/politics/read-trump-indictment-file/index.html

Read the counts. They're in nice big black all caps bold letters so even you can see them.

If you want to debate put up your state law.
I just posted the indictment for you. See if you can figure out for yourself the state law Rapey Donald is charged with violating.

It took me less than ten seconds to find the indictment online.

Why you choose to listen to your propagandists' BULLSHIT through their partisan hackery filters is beyond me.

Law Professor Turley to you. You a Law Professor?
And yet all that penetrated your rube skull were the words "hush money payments". Turley is a Fox News partisan hack.

Read. The. Indictment.

No one lies like Trump does.

The only people who talk like Trump does are country bumpkins. That's precisely why he aimed his grift squarely at them.

Thank you for the indictment, but I'm not a lawyer.
Turley and Jarrett translate the legalese.
The most serious charges according to Turley and AG Barr are smith's mishandling of classified documents, the others aren't as serious.
I'm seeing Fani Willis squirming in the witness chair on TV. Stupid bitch will see what lying gets her.
