As for the war, every war fought after WWII was over profit. If Trump and the country were true patriots, they would have a parade promoting the end of wars of profit for Oligarchs like Trump. He's already chomping at the bit to go into Iran and Venezuela for Oil, Gold, and Diamonds. At this juncture, it was a total insult to have a military parade honoring troops who died at the feet of someone else's high end earnings while invading other countries and murdering their people. Because once we went in to stabilize the oil fields as the only reason to go there, the death of innocent civilians was on our government, not the troops. So yes, what an insult to the troops who sign up for freedom but are used as decoys and sacrificed for the wealth benefit of the few.

I can’t find any pictures but am certain the Park Service did not have a whole lot to do to clean up after the crowd – unlike where the protesters were.

A specter of anti-Americanism appears to be rising on the left.

Listening to the Democratic debates, and the depiction of the nation and its economy by the candidates, one would think we were living in the Paris of “Les Miserables” or the London of Charles Dickens.

Demography undeniably favors a millennial-dominant Democratic Party over the middle-aged and seniors party that is the GOP.

Yet how does a party, 3 of 4 of whose adherents profess no pride in its political system, persuade the nation to put it in charge of that system? How does a party, not one-fourth of whom are “extremely proud” to be an American, persuade a majority of Americans to entrust it with the leadership of their nation?

From liberals and progressives, we constantly hear griping, grousing and grievances. When do we hear the gratitude – for America?
