Rasmussen's methodology is published, and well known in the industry, it might be slightly conservative, but they get it right more than most, and is highly respected.

OTH, the meme that Bulldog posted is from an independent group of, shall we say, "grad. students," whom we do not know, who only had a sample group of 1,018 "active duty" military, and for all we know, they could have all been ROTC instructors at Ivy league schools and registered Democrats. . . we just don't know, and the source has no reputation behind them.
