bones, the article is about pre-pubescent kids and it makes a point in there somewhere that all the "changes" are completely "reversible" like their clothing choices and haircuts. No one is giving a three or five year old hormones.i dont care ...you dont let kids do shit that cannot be reversed...simple as that...hair color...piercings all that shit can be removed and reversed......i will admit i was not happy with his tat.....but its his damn arm..this hormone stuff....stops the ability to have kids and that shit....life altering decisions.....they can wait if they feel that strongly and do it when they are adults and who the fuck is paying for all this?

That is a really sad, sick story. They treated that poor little boy like a lab rat and I hope everyone involved in hoping to prove that Nurture is all and Nature is nothing felt guilty as hell when he died.

People used to think schizophrenics were possessed by the devil because they acted "weird." Nothing could change people's minds except a century or so of science. Like bones pointed out, as a mom and grandma and generally kind person, I'd want the kid to be happy, not miserable and suicidal.
Different does not mean MENTAL necessarily. Normal is an average of a whole range of behavior. Being outside the "normal" range like Einstein's intelligence or Maria Callas's voice doesn't make them MENTAL and being born with wiring that identifies with the other gender doesn't mean they're BAD ABNORMAL IN NEED OF DRASTIC INTERVENTION.
