US implements socialism for 80 years, China gets rid of it for 30, China leaps ahead

I don't endorse socialism but when the air is so bad that one needs to wear a mask to breathe that does not indicate a healthy economy. Something awfully terribly wrong with that situation. I would never let my family breathe that air. Why does China think that is ok? Work in one of those ungodly factories... no thanks.

Everything you post indicates you endorse socialism.

It's easy to say you wouldn't tolerate conditions in Beijing when you have better options. For most of the people in Beijing the only other option is going back to the farm to spend all day hunched over a flooded rice field.

Beijing's problems can easily be solved with some pollution control. It doesn't require chucking out their entire economic system.

"No, no, not yet. Nowhere NEAR leaping even with us, let alone ahead."

Agreed. Nowhere close militarily. Our military recruits are growing although we are going to graduate 54 Kids this year and none are enlisting. Times are a changing.

I agree. But why then DONT they do it. It wont cost the companies much at all. In the end its not a model that we want to admire however. People there just don't seem very happy compared to the US.

Would you gladly work like a little programmed robot in one of those factories over there? I didn't think so. More reasons to get a degree that prevents one from that dastardly kind of life.

Look at the suicide rate in Chinese factories and get back to me

I don't think anyone is endorsing a model of no pollution controls whatsoever.

The bottom line is that the Chinese are far wealthier since they loosened government control over the economy and allowed private industry and private property.

That's my point. Controls on pollution will have no affect on production and if they do then perhaps the company is very very poorly run. I for one feel sorry for them having to live like they do.

It's not that simple.

But workers are cheap and easy to come by in China and that's why they're doing so well.

And why the American right idolizes China the way they do.

Workers who will give up their right to a life is a conservative dream

China grows around $500m worth of hemp for export to America each year while America spends about $20b each year to cut hemp down and burn it.

And people wonder why America is falling behind China? We spend billions to cut down and burn the exact same plant that we import from China for hundreds of millions of dollars each and every year. You don't have to be an economist to know that the US government is doing this incorrectly.

You think the US is more socialist than China?
Ah cons have finally stopped hiding their deep admiration for China.

Isn't it a hoot how the desperate liberals are bending over backward to avoid the real point of the thread? That China's diminishing socialism and the U.S.'s increasing socialism, are the direct causes for China's economy surpassing ours?

The leftist fanatics don't DARE acknowledge the truth, much less discuss it. :cuckoo:

The direct cause of China surpassing us is they have five times the population we do. They need five times the economy just to draw even with us

China still has 600 million peasants. Twice our population as peasants
Typical Socialist piece of shit you are. YOU actually see the population of the U.S. as peasants. Typical view...and expected.

Eat shit son.:eusa_hand:

Please stop embarassing yourself

The US has 300 million people, China has 600 million people living as peasants. That means China has twice the current US population still living as peasants

I know it is expecting alot to ask you to do both reading AND math

So you think living like some Feudal Serf mucking around in a rice field 16 hours a day is "a life?"

You got something against farmers now? I thought you were all about the plantation owners...
