Yes.....as per the democrat formula.....cut the funding of police, under staff the police, then undermine the police by callling them violent racists.......and make sure they know that in any interaction with a violent criminal, the officer, not the violent criminal will be guilty until proven innocent....

And that all goes into the mix that creates this problem......

Authorities In NYC Offer Ways To Scare Off Intruders No Mention Of Self-Defense Methods Concealed Nation

NEW YORK CITY — Authorities in the NYC area are seeing an increase in violent home invasions, and they’re saying that the criminals don’t care if you’re home or not. These brazen home invasions are also happening not only in the city, but the suburbs as well.

It’s becoming an increasing problem, likely in part because the criminals know that many folks in NYC are unarmed, because Governor Cuomo wants that to be the way of life.

One suspect has been linked to a total of eight incidents in Brooklyn between Sunday, Feb. 15 and this past Friday. In all but one of the incidents, someone was home at the time and was robbed at gunpoint.

CBS2’s Tony Aiello talked to three of the victims in the incidents in and around East Flatbush, Brooklyn. They all said they were sitting innocently at home when all of a sudden, the man was in front of them sticking a gun in their face.

They said the man demanded cash, jewelry, and even Nintendo game consoles.

The woman in the most recent incident has a new lock on her door, and fear in her heart, after her Friday night fright.

“There was a bright light like that, and a gun pointed at me,” the woman said. “I am sure we were going to die.”

However...on the bright side...the Mayor of New York City has offered free lessons in the self defense techniques of anti gunners.....

When confronted by a violent armed criminal employ one or more of these....

1) Appeal to the kindness of your violent armed attacker...

2) Hope that your violent armed attacker is really incompetent...

3) Hope that you just get a run of really dumb luck that saves you........

If you have any questions about the techniques above....please...keep them to yourself....and remember....

Just because you are a victim of a violent criminal attack...it doesn't mean you have a right to harm your attacker....please submit quietly...on the lines of the British model.....

Thank You...

It is no longer called "home invasion", it is called freelance income re-distribution, and is in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles.

Bit tinfoil-hatty, but is all the gun control deliberate so the frightened public give more power and authority to the government 'to keep them safe?'

If you can't protect yourself on even footing with criminals, as with owning a firearm, but the bad guys have firearms, and the police have them too, then aren't you in effect being forced to rely more on police and government? Where you can have a weapon yourself, you then don't have to rely on government as much.

By the time someone is holding a gun on you there is nothing else you can do. If you try to go for your own gun you are just committing suicide.

Home invasions need to be prevented. Once the perps are inside it is too late to use your own firearms.

An alarm system and/or a big dog will do more to keep you safe than any gun will against home invasions.

That wasn't my experience.

Wholeheartedly agree an alarm system and/or a big dog is a wise measure.

My big mutt not included. I doubt she'd wake up unless the intruders had dog treats.

No, most of it is born out of the ignorance of bed wetters.

If there isn't already, someone should invent a gun that looks like a wallet. :)

Situation: gun on you demanding your wallet.

"Ok ok don't shoot, lemme get my wallet..." :)

Bullshit.

Such a good idea, there are several brands of them.

I think wallet style holsters exist for derringers.

Was thinking more along the lines of 'spy stuff' than holsters that kinda look like wallets. :)

Guns at their simplest are just a barrel, bullet, and striker for the cartridge's primer. Wouldn't be difficult to put tha into an actual wallet for a one-shot 'last resort' sorta device.

An actual wallet, with 8 lethal weapons concealed in and as part of the wallet itself. More what I was thinking of. :)

Yeah, little short 9mms disguised as fingertips.

Would that be cool, point your finger at some mugger and blow his head off?

Yeah, little short 9mms disguised as fingertips.

And the recoil tears your finger off!

Better to lsoe my fingers, then my Def Lepard velcro wallet with $5 inside. :)

You are wrong on all counts.......there are numerous stories of people held at gun point pulling their own guns and shooting or driving off their attacker....you have no idea what you are talking about......it comes down to response and reaction........they have to determine what you are doing as you are drawing your weapon, formulate the response....pulling their own trigger, while making the decision to cross the line from robbery to murder.....an then perform the action....you on the other hand do all of that in your head and then draw and fire.....

You are simply wrong....please do some research into the use of a gun as a defensive weapon....then you might have something of value to add....

I think I saw one of those once....it may have just concealed a derringer though...not an actual gun....

Your anecdotes are meaningless. Of course you have no statistics on the number of idiots who pulled that dumb "defensive" move and died while the perps made off with their guns too. They are just counted as victims of armed robbery and not failed attempts at "stand your ground".

Cops don't pull their guns in those situations because they know that is a really dumb move and what the most likely outcome will be if they tried it.
