Why do RWers say that so much?

What's the point being made?

Yes, we are a Republic, but we are a Democratic Republic.

Most say democracy for short.

So why make such a point about it?

What do you think you're accomplishing by that?

A Democracy is where a majority rules - WITHOUT PROTECTION FOR THE MINORITIES!

It's the same thing as mob rule. No constraints. No laws. No controls.

Our founders knew this and wisely established a system where personal rights and freedoms came first,

I think the right cooked up that lime of BS to demean the democractic party.

The same as they cooked up calling it the democrat party instead of using its proper name.

Or is it a way for the minority to justify trying to cram their agenda down the throats of the majority???

Funny.. you have said a pure democracy is not a democracy...

You are one lying, manipulating, word twisting, piece of shit

I spend a lot of time as a volunteer at our local schools. I have observed that the teachers push the term ' democratic republic".
I believe the children are taught this so they don't come to believe that if enough people support a particular issue, it can become law.

example;
If a nationwide election were held that included a referendum to abolish all religious institutions in the USA, even if 99.9% of voters supported it, it would not be legal to do so under our existing constitution.

The average Liberal doesn't understand how Democracy works, that why they think Communism is so great. They don't know the difference between Capitalism and Crony Capitalism, the latter is what has been practiced by the US Gov't since the end of WWII and maybe even earlier than that.

America is a Representative Republic.

Voting and Freedom of Speech are Instruments of Democracy.

But hey, I'm glad to see you Liberals rediscovering the Constitution because you may actually learn something.

What will help tremendously is if you get off this false Left/Right paradigm which has been set up to get Americans distracted and fighting which each other.

When you do that, things become clearer.

Failure to understand the difference between a democracy and a republic is why we ended up with the deplorable state of divisive government that we have.

You people are arguing with every dictionary and encyclopedia in the world.

You do not get to change the definitions for words so you can remain an idiot
