they've not been able to define it yet that also didn't take out say the ruger 10/22. if they could do that this wouldn't be an issue but they keep trying to demonize the AR due to how it looks and granted, looks menacing, doesn't it? black, military and all.

*THIS* is the core to the issue. you want something banned that you can't define other than "looks mean" and what they are out to ban NOW are ALL semi automatic guns.

Edit: Now that I think about it, it's the other way around. The AR-15 was around first. The military modified them for their use.
