First your Premise that the Left is going Fascist. Obviously False. I swear it must be difficult to be a RW Radical. In one thread you jump up and down and scream that The Second Amendment says shall not and means it. In the next thread you scream the 14th doesn’t mean what it says.

You celebrate the “Originalists” who overturn Roe because it isn’t in the Constitution. Then you celebrate Trump claiming that he has a right to immunity that is nowhere in the Constitution and worse, history clearly shows was never conceived before.

The cause of the war was economics. Slavery was a component of that, southerners couldn't earn enough to live based on how the system was set up without it. The industrial north didn't care. If the north wanted to avoid the war, they should have worked on how to end slavery without destroying the south. It was easier to just conquer them then deal with issues.

Democrats support slavery today for the same reason on our southern border they supported slavery in the civil war, money

South Carolina's secession convention mentioned the election of Abraham Lincoln and the refusal of northern states to enforce the fugitive slave laws. Mississippi mentioned slavery in their convention. The states all seceded around the same time, after November of 1860.
