South Carolina's secession convention mentioned the election of Abraham Lincoln and the refusal of northern states to enforce the fugitive slave laws. Mississippi mentioned slavery in their convention. The states all seceded around the same time, after November of 1860.

You have to look at the root cause., The south didn't want slaves as an end, they wanted it as a means. Democrats only don't understand that because they are stupid as all get out.

For slavery to be the cause, they would have needed slavery to be an end. State rights was the legal issue, economics was the root (southern economies were built around plantations), but no one wanted slaves just to own slaves. Just like Democrats are still supporting slavery on the southern border just like the Civil War, it's an end, not a means. They want their way and are letting women and girls be sold into slavery and sex trafficking to get it.

WTF is that supposed to mean? Slavery themselves had property. Banks - Northern and Southern - loaned money to planters and they also funded slave trading because the slaves themselves were big business.

While the illegal activity during those is not excusable, the purpose of the protest was against abuse of power in or police force and racism in our country and institutions. Do you think foghting for change in those areas as something that is damaging to the fabric of our country??
