Actually, Bill Clinton had a surplus. Probably because republicans were fiscally responsible on his watch. Democrats also shift money from the pentagon to programs that help poor americans. We don’t waste it on bombs.

And don’t say he didn’t have a surplus because in 2000 you republicans used that surplus to justify the bush tax breaks. And that was right before he lied us into a war that would drive up the debt and make chaneys company haloburton rich.
