What are the options for those like me?

Hillary is so corrupt she can't be trusted to run my household budget let alone the country.
Trump is only in it for his own entertainment & possibly his wallet.

Where do I go? Third party is a dead end. Do I just pack my bags & go home so to speak? Cross my fingers & hope our economy survives the next 4 years?

I truly have no idea where to focus my attention. Up to this point I have focused on anti Trump shit in a desperate attempt to see a change at our convention to see help for the down ballets but I'm beginning to see that is a lost cause too. Plus it's making me hated here by both sides rather than just one.

Just focus then on the Supreme Court knowing what Hillary will give us.

Trump is a gamble, but Hillary will put the final nails in the coffin for a generation, and possibly what's left of the future for America.

If that isn't motivation enough to plug your nose and go with Trump, then you're truly lost in the void.

Yeah, there are always "REASONS!" to vote for crap, and then for some godforsaken reason, we're all shocked and outraged when we actually get exactly what we voted for - CRAP - and the reasons don't pan out. Uh duhhhhh.

I think we really need to get those 3rd party candidates better known somehow. Campaign spending limits? That might even the playing field so that we can finally put an end to the monopoly that the two party system has had on us for so long. Neither party cares about us or the country. It's all about money and power and party politics for them now.

Changing the way we finance political campaigns would revolutionize politics in America which is why you will never see it.

It would merely put the existing regime in charge of deciding who is allowed to challenge it.

In other words we are all fucked by the powers that be.

Until we refuse to grant them so much power, yeah. The problem is that most of us have bought into the idea that the solution is to give them more. I don't get that.

It's that "lesser of two evils" rhetoric that the partisans spread around. They are always telling us if we vote for 3rd party candidates, then we are throwing our votes away. Well, if people would ignore that and vote for those 3rd party candidates, then perhaps we could slowly but surely remove that monopoly that the reps and dems have on our government.

What's important is you vote for something or someone you really believe in, even if it's a write in.

had she done anything "corrupt", the multi millions and 25 years spent by the right investigating her and her husband would have yielded something. they didn't. so why don't we start there?

I mean,. I find it impossible to believe that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the BEST that we can put forward to "supposedly" lead the free world. It's scary. And, more importantly, could mark the end of this great countries standing in the world. Honestly - who the hell in the rest of the world could take either of these clowns seriously?

That kind of came up a couple of months ago when me and my father were discussing politics. At the time, Russia just buzzed one of our ships and it made the news. My father really likes Trump although he basically is a Democrat. So I asked him, if Donald Trump were President today, do you think Putin would have sent those planes to bother our ships? We both bust out laughing.

Trump is looked at more suspiciously than Obama or Hillary. Our enemies don't know what he's capable of doing, and I kind of like it that way.

While we may not know how Trump will conduct himself in the White House, we do know how Hillary will. This latest revelation of her emails and lies to the American public are proof positive of that.

All politicians BS the public about what they will do or want to do. I don't think Trump is any different. You know, free college and stuff like that. Those kinds of issues are never passed through a house of different party leadership.

Putting all that aside, the most important issue is the nomination of the new Supreme Court justices that will be coming up in the next one or even two presidential terms. You can always change politics by voting out a current representative, but you can't get rid of justices once they are given a life-long position in judging how our precious Constitution is read.
