what are you going to do?????

THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO CAN'T AFFORD iNSURANCE, AND ITS NOT A MATTER OF THEM BEING LAZY OR STUPID. THEY SIMPLY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY. JUST BECAUSE YOUR IN A GOOD SITUATION ON IT, DOESN'T MEAN OTHERS ARE. I HAVE INSURANCE ALSO, BUT I SEE LOTS OF PEOPLE THAT CAN'T AFFORD IT AND ALREADY DOING WITHOUT MANY THINGS.
THE ECONOMY SURE ISN'T GOING TO HELP THEM. AND BEING FORCED TO BUY IT OR iRS WILL COME AFTER YOU, IS JUST ANOTHER MAJOR PROBLEM FOR PEOPLE. EVERYTHING HAS GONE UP, AND THE HARDSHIPS ON PEOPLE ARE UNREAL. AND THIS IS JUST ADDED HARDSHIPS.

The ACA will help them, not hurt them.

The Affordable Care Act: The First Year - DISCOVER WHAT THE NEW LAW
MEANS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

The Health Care Law & You

By "them", you mean the insurance companies?

Yeah, it helps them out too. Welcome to the American health care system. I want, like most Americans wanted, a public option.

Costa Rica is looking good right now.

First time in my life I have really thought that it could be a better thing, you have but one shot at life on this planet.

We know people that have retired down there they say its great. The fishing is also fantastic.

Yeah, and they have that "socialist" healthcare y'all love so much too.

What you wanted is irrelevant. What are you supporting now?

I still support the public option and I fully support Medicare for all.

So, you'll help us repeal ACA and the mandate?

Why don't we just keep the ACA, since you know, other than the IM, most Americans fully support it, and then we'll just institute Single Payer. Then you can have the Conservative-born individual mandate back, mmmmmmmmkkkkkaaaaayyyyyyy?

Because it may be the case that most Americans don't want single payer. That's really the main reason Obama and the Dems chickened out and didn't try for it, right? In the mean time, letting ourselves get screwed over by the insurance companies is a stupid plan. Why would you support that?

Actually, 70% of Americans favor a single-payer, public option. But thanks for playing.

Why do I support the ACA? Because of the good stuff it's already doing. Like getting millions of people under 25 insurance coverage. Like not allowing companies to treat women differently then men, as if having a vagina makes them a different species other than human to treat. Because I like that pre-existing conditions have to be covered, and can't be over-priced either. Because I like that there will be a minimum standard of care so that insurance companies can't rape the consumers and give them shitty coverage to boot.

Basically, since I educated myself as to how the bill actually works, is paid for, and what it does in the long-run, I support it. I myself want single payer, like the other 70% of us in this country, but I see the ACA as the first steps towards that future. Most other industrialized, western nations now have at least some option to go to single-payer. England has had it for about 70 years now. So has Germany, the country every Republican wants to model our system after.

Conservatives are actually very much in the minority on Health Care now, which is awesome because it was your fucking idea to have the mandate in the first place. So let's just keep it, and then we can really work on Universal Health care and join the 21st century.

No. I'll help strengthen the ACA with the addition of a public option and work towards a single payer system like all the other developed countries have.

So you are supporting the ACA. Jeez. Make up your mind. The ACA is a giveaway to the insurance companies and you are supporting it. Thanks.

Hey, idiot, it's possible to support a piece of legislation and want it to expand, you know.

Goddamn you Conservatives are extra fucking ignorant these days.

Of course it is. I wasn't saying otherwise. I was commenting on Seawytch's waffling.

I don't really get the apologists for ACA. Most of them seem to acknowedge it's bad law. But their position seems to be - "Support this other alternative that you don't like (public option, single payer, etc) or we're going stuff this obviously shitty corporate giveaway down your throat". Basically, it's political blackmail.

Does that seem right to you?

It's what we could get at the time. I will continue to vote for and support legislators that will work towards a public option and single payer. It's called small steps. (and compromise)

No, taxes are not going to skyrocket, and you represent just one vote. And I will vote for President Obama.

Sure it will increase taxes..... For the ones that actually PAY federal income taxes that is.
Old Rocks must be on welfare and that is why he kisses obamaturds butt.

I paid 5,000 in federal income tax last year and I'm still waiting for someone to tell me how Obamacare is raising my taxes.

MY taxes.
