What is "Parler"?

Parler (/pɑːrlər/, PAR-ler) is an American microblogging and social networking service launched in August 2018. Parler has a significant user base of Trump supporters, conservatives, and right-wing extremists.[4][5][6] Posts on the service often contain far-right content,[12] antisemitism,[15][discuss] and conspiracy theories.[18] Parler has been described as an alternative to Twitter, and is popular among people who have been banned from mainstream social networks or oppose their moderation policies.[4][7][19]

Parler markets itself as a "free speech" and unbiased alternative to mainstream social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. However, journalists and users have criticized the service for content policies that are more restrictive than the company portrays, and sometimes more restrictive than those of its competitors.[20][21][22][23] As of November 2020, the service had about 4 million active users, and over 10 million total users.[3][2]

There is so many right wing sites, be careful out there, for those in reality.
Poor thing can't stand freedom, liberty, accountability, or responsibility. Bless you.

Essentially a further contraction of the alternate universe. Another example is the way Fox is being replaced by Newsmax, which is much more dependable. The alternate universe now is very close to being an absolutely sealed, closed circuit ecosystem. At some point here, they may actually develop their own language, and the rest of us will require an interpreter to communicate with them.
Ah Newsmax, I remember them putting out a false story about Sen. Clinton snubbing Gold Star Mothers and leaving it in their archives for at least two years, despite the GSMs saying it was false on their website. The only good thing about Newsmax was that their attacks were usually easily debunkable. They're only "popular" now because Trump lost and his minions have to scrape the bottom of the journalistic barrel to get their message out
Yeah, Newsmax was one of the outlets that we used to call "fake news", before Trump commandeered the term. Others were Breitbart, WND, Alex Jones and another five or six.

Since then, of course, they've multiplied like rabbits, and we see them used here as "source" material every hour. Seems like I'm seeing new ones pretty much every day now.

NPR did a story on Parlor:

The last part is hilarious; they chronicle that both Ted Cruz and Maria Bartimoro (sp?) said they were leaving Twitter for Parler...

Both are still on Twitter. LOL
Holy Smokes! It's Mercer!

Mercer is the billionaire that funded both Steve Bannon and Kelly Conway, prior to them going to the Trump campaign to slide Trump home, to the win...in 2016.

Mercer is the guy who owns Cambridge Analytica, the company that stole everyone's information on Facebook, without asking their permission....now a defunct company that Bannon was part of....

Mercer and Trump are in this venture together probably, with Bannon....all connected somehow?

Mercer is also in to Conspiracies....might also have interest in Briebart? Owns it or funds it....?

to put it in perspective:
far right extremists murder less than 10 per year
blacks murder over 3000 per year
so, who should you worry more about?

They multiply every election as folks create fake sites to propagate fake news to sway elections.

Correct; this is the endgame. Money. It has nothing to do with giving a voice to retards. Money in the form of advertising and getting the click count up.

the right to not have any laws about guns or weapons, or any laws or taxes.

The far right wants us to live by their laws.
Actually, that's a libertarian philosophy, which is manned by mostly former Democrats- except that, Libertarians (and most libertarians) believe Law should be used in court only, to help civilization maintain credibility-

Laws, by definition, restrict Liberty- according to the preamble to the constitution, they are diametrically opposite what the founders envisioned- never mind the bumper sticker slogan of LIBERTY and Justice for ALL- or Land of the Free- it might interest you (though I doubt it), words mean things- free is unencumbered- laws encumber- taking what doesn't belong to you is theft= taxes. The 2nd amendment has no caveats- the declarative is SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED- FORCE is immoral except in self defense- I know the saints on your side voted for it before they voted against it, but, FORCE IS IMMORAL- the initiation of FORCE is "deplorable"-

And, from what Ive read, the tool you're describing is being used by those who have been *deplatformed* by your betters- you know, the Zuckebergs of the social set- it's funny you should be concerned though-

And gathering information on users, as they did with Cambridge Analytica and Facebook users, to market products or political conspiracies, or simply to politically influence....

Mercer and daughter, are already billionaires.... They spent like $20 to $30 million of their own money to influence voters for the Trump campaign in 2016 with the Cambridge analytica info gathered.

I think this is more than making money for Mercer, it's more involved with political influence.

Jewish billionaires with close ties to Israel have been courted by the two major parties, both to come up with contributions and to urge their friends in the oligarch club and media to also respond favorably. The Democrats’ largest single donor is entertainment mogul Haim Saban while the Republicans rely on casino multi-billionaire Sheldon Adelson. It is estimated that 60% of the political contributions for the Democrats comes from Jewish sources and Saban is the single largest contributor. He is also an Israeli holding dual citizenship. Adelson, who may also hold dual citizenship and is married to an Israeli, is the major supporter of the Republicans, having coughed up more than $100 million in recent elections.

Both Saban and Adelson have not been shy about supporting Israel as their first priority. Saban is on record as supporting Joe Biden “because of his track record on supporting Israel and its alliance with the United States.” Adelson, who was drafted into the U.S. Army in the 1950s, has said that he would much rather have served in the Israel Defense Force. Saban and Adelson are joined in their love fest with Israel by a number of Israel-firsters in Congress and the Administration, all eager to shower unlimited political support, money and weapons on the Jewish state.
Stop being so partisan- it's not becoming or flattering
