I understand where people are coming from, but I think people need to realize the limits of what a government can do, and what happens when it tries to do too much. If you look at the numbers involved for free education, universal healthcare, ect, it becomes clear that it is simply not possible. Bye the way, this is still true if you completely gut the military. It is a fairy tale to think sky high taxes and a gutted military will make it possible for the government to give everybody what it promises. No amount of taxes will cover the costs of all these programs. I can't think of anything else to call it than a political lie. The more of these expensive programs that are started, what happens to wage earners? They get taken to the cleaners. By trying to create the ultimate safety net, you are making EVERYBODY poor. When democrat politicians talk about helping the middle class, I have to ask, in what possible way are they helping? If you vote democrat because you hate Christians and love solar panels, well that is just sad.
