I'm all about solutions. I hate excuses but I dont pretend there are not factual reasons. My solution was to outwork whites and it worked. So now I teach other Blacks to do the same thing. That starts with teaching them the reasons for our conditions. Then I challenge them and ask if they are going to let whites keep them down.

That sounds like half solution & half unnecessary hatred. I have taught all my employees to work harder than everyone else. The added hatred of the past is not necessary to get someone to strive to be better.
I have taken uneducated potheads and turned them into successful contractors over the years. All without an included pity party

I didnt add hatred of the past. I point at the track record of whites and then show the present day continuance of the tactics whites employ. Presenting the facts about a problem is the first step in coming up with a solution. Every successful Black person I have ever talked to understands the white hurdles in our society.

White flight helped turn Detroit into the shithole it is today. In the early 60s it was one of the most affluent cities in the country. Then the blacks rioted, looted, and burned parts of the city and scores of folks died or were hurt.

Whites with investments in homes and businesses were alarmed property values would be in the toilet if they did it again, which they did, and began leaving for safer neighborhoods and eventually suburbs instead. I taught for 32 years and thought nothing about race one minute. All children (and they grow up to be adults, my friend). Because I dont care about all people like I do my race in general. I have worked with specific Mexican and some Asian youth though because they have the same obstacles facing them albeit to a lesser degree..

If it were still so bad, as pre-civil rights era, how did so many blacks ever make it in politics or business? Or how did Obama ever make President? Not that I like Obama, I don't, but not because he's black, but for what he's done to this country.Or MLK ever be such a public figure to influence such a wide audience? Why??? Because they didn't use those same excuses. It's because they believed in themselves enough to push past those barriers & not let those same barriers hold them back.....like a majority of blacks do.
