There is a difference, the PPP was designed to give employer's money to pay employees that would have been laid off during the pandemic. All that money was tracked to make sure the employees received the money, if they did not, the loan was to be paid back.

It was like a grant but was made into a loan to make sure businesses spent it on their employees and day to day operations during a pandemic. Would you have felt better if all these businesses would have shut down permanently and displaced millions of workers, creating a massive economic collapse?

Debt should held under the terms and conditions of the loan. The terms of the PPP was spelled out under the terms and conditions. Those that took out those loans agreed to the terms and conditions. Those that took student loans agreed to the terms and conditions of their loans, so each person agreed to the terms conditions and responsibilities, am I right?

The PPP had strong support on both sides of the aisle and was passed easily, so easily, that Trump could not of vetoed it or it would have been overturned.

The loans are totally different. When you sign a loan, you agree to certain terms and conditions. The PPP loan had terms and conditions to allow for the business to keep employees employed. There was a benefit to the government. The student loans were signed and the signee agreed to different terms and conditions. Many small businesses that are by far not rich also benefited and prevented businesses from shutting down.

No hypocrisy, the terms were out front and agreed to those who signed it. Are you saying people should not be responsible and pay their debts?
