Who here "thinks" that China will blink first in the trade wars?

Trump already rubbed Chinese noses in soybeans. Our soybean farmers will make more than ever.

You are so stupid it is almost scary you are allowed to vote.

If there was another market out there on a steady basis that would pay more, do you not think that our farmers would not have already been taking advantage of it?

This year for only the third time ever, more soybeans are planned to be planted than corn, meaning there will be more soybean than every to try and sell. Are you aware what happens when there is a surplus of supply and a shortage of buyers?

And the extended winter is going to make it even worse as people will end up planting beans where they were going to plant corn if they cannot get the corn in the ground soon.
Sorry for your ignorance but Europe is already buying our soybeans.

Your hope for the failure of our farmers is dashed from the beginning.

Yes they are, so who is going to pick up the market that is China since Europe already is? Do you think that if Europe was better market we would not have already replaced China with them? Do you think at all? Do you even have a brain or was it replaced by Trump's ass?

Soy beans are sold on a world market, with the price pretty much determined by supply and demand. If other soy bean producers decide to sell to China and not their other customers, then those customers have to find another supplier. The same amount of soy beans will be sold, as there is a market for soy beans. Only the actors change.

You were saying the TPP was good. I’m trying to figure out where you got that idea. I’m trying to figure out why you think it was a good deal.

figure away........With the TPP, china will corner the trade markets with such powerful countries as Japan, Australia, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand,Vietnam, etc. while we play with ourselves.

For those who claim that Trump is "the greatest negotiator that ever walked the planet" (beside Trump himself, that is) the surprise will be very disappointing.

Trump has picked the wrong fight, using the worst tools at his disposal probably because of his hatred of Obama. If you really wanted to have China buckle to our demands of better trade balances, less currency manipulation and have China curtail the stealing of our intellectual properties, THEN the best method would have been to REJOIN the TPP accords.

China will purchase her needs for soy beans and corn from such other countries as Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Mexico ,Peru, etc.......and we can expect that China may abandon its purchases of Boeing air crafts, opting for Air Bus from European (mostly France) manufacturers.

Yes, China may currently need our exports, but we are NOT the only suppliers of the commodities that Chain needs.....and once other suppliers step up to service China's needs, what would ever make that country seek supplies from her arch economic "enemy," the U.S.?

After trump has hurt the economy as much as possible...he will back off and claim victory.

"I forced some major concessions from the Chinese"

If course he won't. He will learn....just like W that tariffs alone do not work.
And we are All GONNA DIE because of the DRAGON.................

hmmm............seems we found new buyers for the soy................NEXT..............waiting for our ass to get kicked because how dare the United States take on CHINA.................

You need a tampax.

TPP supporter..........so good that actual countries can sue a Nation in a TPP court..............

You go Gnat..................

So you response is to capitulate and allow China to run the world, run your economy, build a military to invade your land and impose Martial Law on you?

WOW, what a "brilliant" conclusion, befitting the mentality of a 12 year old.

China, definitely. The last thing China needs is a trade war with the world's largest market. The only challenge in this matter is "saving face".
In a trade war the key word is war!!!!!!!!!!!!!! War means shared pain, that is what war is period it has never been any different. There is no such thing as a war with out cost. If you think a trade war is ging to better your economic stance in the short run you have the IQ of a rock. To think that the US is not going to be hurt by Chinese retaliation is puire stupidity. Lets not be children, we have been here for quite a while and every one here should know that war cuases pain period. You can not be in a war and suffer zero losses The question as to whether or not a trade war is worth it, is the gain at the end of the war worth the pain of the war PLease do not try to convince any one on here that there will be no pain felt by our country it insults even a knidergartehers intellegence!

Will be more painful for China.....................and soooooooo

Continue to allow their BS State Trade Practices.....................I don't think so............

You are assuming facts not already in evidence! I hope you are right! In reality I do not think you are a psychic any more than I am. We do not know the out come of this battle, but if all the news we have heard about chinas unfair practices are true it was a war that had to be fought. It will not be mwon by the name of the country it will be nwon by the country thyat makes the best moves.

I just showed you that other buyers are buying the soy..............ignored it didn't you.
They already tariff the fuck out of our auto's.......and in regards to planes it's Boeing versus Airbus........

$50 billion in shifted Markets.............they didn't do squat.

Trump will get a better deal for Americans. And that's what it's all about. The Globalists threw American Workers overboard years ago. I truly believe Trump will work out a better deal for them.
OH BULLSHIT!

China holds 4.8% of the US debt. That's over $1 Trillion in US Treasury bonds they own with a promise to redeem on demand. All China has to do is threaten to cash in half of them and the US economy would go in the toilet along with our credit rating globally.

China holds the top hand and they could squash the Clown with ease IF they desired. China is in the process of raising it 11th Dynasty in world history and that fucking Orange Idiot will get run over by the Chinese juggernaut if he tries his stupid, supercilious bluff game the entire informed Universe is on to!!

Trump's trying. The Globalists have decimated American Workers. He's trying to get better deals. I wish him the best of luck.

OH BULLSHIT...AGAIN!

That Narcissistic Clown doesn't know what he's doing and has placed the US and all of its citizens out on the proverbial limb. As far as your blaming "Globalists" for the woes of this Nation today, put that overly broad tar brush back in the bucket and educate yourself you insipidly deficient ground dwelling fool! tHrump is one of those you claim to disdain, but your licking up every drop of his piss you can. You are profoundly conflicted or perhaps just really, really terribly UNINFORMED!

The Idiot-in-Chief is not going to get squat from China in trade concession with his approach with his Carnival Barker shtick playing the tough guy because he's played that act too many times and shown himself to be nothing but a Gawd Damn marshmallow! His focus should be on China's military buildup, but OH HELL NO! He's concerned about keeping his dwindling base focused.

What in the hell do you imagine that Trump could do about China's military buildup? Oh, I know, perhaps he should be building up our own military? Wait, he is already doing that.

If Trump were to shut down trade with China, American consumers would feel pain. However, China's economy would hit the skids, and the money that China is using to build up it's military would dry up,.

I just showed you that other buyers are buying the soy..............ignored it didn't you.

Moron, WHERE did you list those countries ready willing and able to buy our soybeans if China imposes high tariffs on such U.S. exports???....WHERE???

https://www.bizjournals.com/bizjour.../china-india-and-us-are-top-3-population.html

New estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau put China in the lead with 1.34 billion residents, followed by India with 1.19 billion. The United States is a distant third with 311.1 million people.

Older article but will suffice............

They need the food a hell of lot more than we do................And our citizens can absorb higher prices than their citizens can...........Our did their wages just go through the roof over there.

Moron.....From the O/P I stated that countries such as Brazil and Argentina produce even MORE soybeans than we do.....What is stopping China from trading with those 2 countries???

A perusal of the sentiment in the various ag industries in the US shows they are all shitting bricks. They are the ones that will suffer, China is a HUGE buyer of American ag.

Even Republicans are coming out saying Trump doesn't know what he's doing because, he doesn't know what he's doing. So all you farmers out there you better pack away the harvest for the long cold winter headed your way. And you can thank Trump personally.

Nobody disputes the fact that China has been walking all over the U.S. for years and even stealing technology. So what should we do? Hussein spent eight stagnant years bowing down to tyrants all over the world and making bad deals. The left used to consider corporate America as the enemy and all of a sudden they are worried about soybean futures. It ain't about trade wars, it's about hatred and disappointment and politics.

Trump is a bully who does not know how to react when he gets slapped back

Right wing morons and trump cultists "think" that since Trump charges for his name to be put on buildings, somehow that translates into making the idiot in chief an "expert" on international trade.

In other threads I've shown the evidence from reliable sources.........including Congressional Reports of their abuses and other countries taking measures against them.

Under Trump Anti dumping cases have escalated against China and one result was already beef sales to China after a BAN on all U.S. beef sales for 14 years.........to be fair........Japan has also Banned our beef sales for that long.

Most of the countries using Anti Dumping Measures against China are in Steel and Aluminum..............Some higher than ours.............including the entire EU, Australia, Canada, and others against the unfair trading practices of China.

China is using Overproduction............subsidies.............money manipulation............Stealing Intellectual Property.......just to name a few.

Article said mostly Europe and probably Investment Bankers..........if I had to guess........who will buy it up and sell it to them at a much higher price....

Not that that is a good thing................just look at the speculation from 2007 to 2008 did to Agricultural price indexs.....during that time soy jumped 87% .........in one year.........and wheat products jumped through the moon causing food riots that some believe caused the Arab Spring in the Middle East.
