It is ironic that Donald Trump owes his success in Republican politics, and thus ultimately his presidency, to birtherism given the extent to which he failed to bring birtherism mainstream.

That said- if the Trumpsters had ever expected or demanded that Trump provide even half of what they absolutely demanded was their right to see about President Obama, Trump would never have been elected.
