This poll is about black violence, and who is to blame for it. It's not about lazy republicans, or whether or not any are on welfare. Why don't you start a poll about who are the predominate welfare recipients, liberals, or conservatives.

What's to blame is a climate in which black people have been trained to believe that they are entitled to just about everything. They have rights to everything and are owed. Like rats in a nest, they cannot satisfy their desires outside the nest. They turn on each other.

The difference between lazy republicans and whites on welfare is that they do not have the same sense of entitlement. They don't think of themselves the way blacks think of themselves. Poor black people still think of themselves as newly freed slaves who are owed back pay. Some other newly freed slave got back pay and bought $300.00 Nike sneakers, that's unfair. Just kill him and take those sneakers. That's fair. Whites don't do that. They don't think that way. The poorest white pockets of poverty don't have the level of violence that pockets of black poverty has. Instead, in the very poorest white areas there is more of a sense of cooperation among the poor, you hear "neighbors helping neighbors" a lot. After Katrina, when the blacks who sought shelter at the Superdome were demanding the methadone bus, and those who didn't shelter there were looting, the whites in the much worse hit Mississippi had organized, gathering up salvageable food, clothing, bedding, everything that could be salvaged and distributed. Rescue parties were formed within the hour after the storm. That's in very poor white districts, not in the black wards of Louisiana. Blacks were entitled to be fed, sheltered, given their drugs, and if they didn't get it fast enough, they'd loot it. If there is no one to kill and loot from but other black people, that's where the killing and looting will take place. Like rats in a nest.

Poverty is relative. Poverty cannot be eradicated, because the more the poor get, the poorer they actually become relative to everyone else. In a land of billionaires, the mere millionaire lives in abject poverty. The poorest of our poor are wealthy beyond the dreams of most of the world. Our poor are in poverty compared to the very wealthy. Our poor have everything they need. They just don't have everything they want and what they want is what they are entitled to. That's where violence comes from.

Normally true, takeastep back, but that doesn't explain why one racial class has such a high rate of crime.

There's a lot of poor whites...Doesn't make them kill, rob or destroy someone's poverty.
