Why aren't more people Libertarian?

:lame2:

The subject of Legalizing Drugs does not even appear on the 2012 Libertarian Platform.

Platform | Libertarian Party

As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.

1.2 Personal Privacy

Libertarians support the rights recognized by the Fourth Amendment to be secure in our persons, homes, and property. Protection from unreasonable search and seizure should include records held by third parties, such as email, medical, and library records. Only actions that infringe on the rights of others can properly be termed crimes. We favor the repeal of all laws creating “crimes” without victims, such as the use of drugs for medicinal or recreational purposes.

:clap2:

I'm glad I'm not the only one searching through the platform!

Contumacious cares nothing about "civil liberties". He cares about only one thing, really. That is the government not forbidding him to do whatever he wishes to do, which was the major failure of the Roman Republic.

Your ignorance of history is astounding. Do you actually believe that the Roman government had no laws?
You are babbling, little libertarian loser.

But interesting that you are willing to be governed by laws.

Whose, bripat?

Can you produce a quote of a libertarian who says he doesn't want to be governed by laws?

Sorry, Fakey, but simply getting born doesn't impose obligations of any kind on me. That's a basic legal principal as well as a moral principal. Of course, we all know how much you despise morality
It does, and whether you deny it is no defense in court.

Tred carefully.

Any lawyer who claimed you were obligated to comply with a contract your parents signed before you were born would be laughed out of court.

That's because they are soc values "cons". They want government to do nothing with religion at all until they want their morals instilled regardless of the damage to society.

Real conservatives believe that most drugs should be legalized, regulated, and taxed.

Almost none of the self-described conservatives in here agree with that position.

Derivative fallacy.

You silly goof. Try that on the police officer. "Officer, I don't like that, and so I won't do that. Please, please put down that extension rod. Ow, Ow, Ow. I will be a good widdle boy."

You are such an idiot.

What is prudent to say to a police officer isn't under discussion here, Fakey. It wouldn't have been prudent to tell an officer of the S.S. that your parents are Jewish. Does that make the behavior of the S.S. justified? Apparently you believe so.

You're basically an idiot, Fakey. Of that there is no doubt.

Another logical fallacy by you, you silly goof.

You will obey the laws, citizen, even if you don't like them.

Or the pay the price, idiot child.

Definition of Fallacy 1. n. Deceptive or false appearance; deceitfulness; that which misleads the eye or the mind; deception. Fallacy: Definition with Fallacy Pictures and Photos // Thus, a false analogy of two unlike objects trying to deceive the reader into thinking they are similar. bripat is very poor at this, but that does not stop him.

Where's the definition of the "Derivative Fallacy," moron?

I'm beginning to think you are actually mentally retarded.

It is explained below.

You don't like it, that is your problem.

You derived an analogy, the conclusion of which was false: False Derivative Analogy.

It is this level of astonishing naivete that makes reading discussion boards so entertaining.

A monopolist creates something called "barriers to market entry."

Be a big boy: Look it up all by yourself.

Those barriers are typically REGULATIONS.

The only other real barrier is the bigger company being able to price lower because of its output. Walmart is a good example. But not a common one.

And even in the case of Walmart we have to ask is that a monopoly? There are plenty of competitors, and lower prices only benefits the consumer. So if that's an example of a monopoly then I'd say we need more monopolies.

Yeah and I wasn't even saying it was a monopoly. It's just an example of big business advantage not necessarily created by regulatory barriers. But more often than not it's because of regulations, licensing requirements, etc.

So many businesses with a great idea are dead before they even get started.

Insider trading is theft but they know that, no such thing as white collar crime to some of these plutocrat suck-ups.

How is it theft? I'd really love to see that explanation.

Ask any Enron employee.

I can give you an example. If a CEO knows his company's SPV's are going to blow up in his face in the near future, and he decides to start off-loading his company stock, he is stealing from everyone who buys that stock since they do not have the same information he does. He has perverted the price discovery process of a free market system.

.

Technically this argument makes sense. But if you were standing on railroad tracks and a train was barreling towards you, are you going to just stand there and let it kill you?

How does a sane rational person sit and literally watch their money evaporate in front of them knowing full well that it's about to happen?

Do we ban corporate executives, board members, officers, etc, from owning stock in their company to prevent this from ever even being a situation? Because it stands to reason that those people are going to have significant information before the retail market does.

Durer did not write about logic, and you certainly don't understand and cannot explain it.

Remember, you are a libertarian, Party Leader.

Seriously, why aren't there more Libertarians out there?

Is it because people don't know what Libertarians stand for?

Here is information about libertarian republicans:

HUH?

Comrade Starkiev, the underpinning of socialism/parasitism is the believe that you are entitled to other people's labor and talents.
