Why do Republicans think the purpose of government is to turn a profit?

I'm sure you meant WEALTHY republicans.

That is a rediculous statement. Republicans don't give a damn about government purpose when it comes to most citizens benefit. They believe that government is for suckers that don't have a fix in. As long as government votes for programs that they can use as an advantage over other citizens they like government. They don't give a rat's ass if government makes any money. To them it's every man for himself.
