Why is Mueller investigating anything outside the scope of the 2016 election?

[QUOTE="Hutch Starskey, post: 17882534, member: 54129
Are you suggesting crimes should be ignored?
Extremely partisan douche-bags who have huge conflicts of interest and their hand-picked team of 'political assassins' should not EVER be given carte blanch to delve into anything and everything it wants in order to take their target down.

That's like allowing the 2nd Special Counsel filled with Trump donors and lawyers to go all the way back into Bill and Hillary's time in Arkansas during their investigation of Hillary's server crimes. :p[/QUOTE]

Mueller is a Republican and a war hero. He's picking the best for a mission...just like he would have done in the military.

Mueller ... picking the best for a mission...just like he would have done in the military.
Yes, agreed....if his mission was to politically assassinate / take Trump down.

You snowflakes are HILARIOUS, claiming to be unable to see the conflicts of interest and how the team has been stacked against him.

Democratic party / Clinton donors and Clinton Lawyers...?! REALLY....

Please, all you snowflakes please remember this....and IF / when a 2nd Special Council is created to investigate Hillary, Lynch, Comey, Rice...and Obama....when a hard-nosed conservative is picked to lead the team and fills that team with GOP / Trump donors and Trump's lawyers....STFU! Don't say 1 word about it being 'unfair' or 'stacked'.

Bwuhahaha.....

Think about it. If a special investigator is expanding the scope of the "investigation" into past business dealings of the President regardless of allegations of wrongdoing, shouldn't we appoint a special council to investigate the background of every past and future presidential candidate? Hell, we don't even know for sure where Obama was born.

They follow the evidence where it leads.
Are you suggesting crimes should be ignored?
What crime?

Since they aren't investigating a specific crime, why not have a special prosecutor for every president? They can also follow the evidence where it leads? So far, Mewler has evidence that leads only to a big nothing burger.

So far as you know.

Per usual, you're way out in the weeds.
Is there anything that you won't create a conspiracy around?

Apparently you believe that's some kind of valid argument.

It's completely valid as you know no more than me or anyone else. A grand jury doesn't look at nothing.

So, Comey lying would not be a conspiracy?
What was the purpose of lying then?

Do you have an capacity for committing logic whatsoever?
Answer the question, dope.
Do you have the balls to?
I don't always waste my time responding to obvious idiocies.

Hmm...no balls. Go figure.
No interest, moron. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can already see what that you're a witless baboon.

Wrong again, snowflake:

Argument from Ignorance

ad ignorantiam

(also known as: appeal to ignorance)

Description: The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary. Usually best described by, “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”

Logical Forms:

X is true because you cannot prove that X is false.
X is false because you cannot prove that X is true.

Example #1:

Although we have proven that the moon is not made of spare ribs, we have not proven that its core cannot be filled with them; therefore, the moon’s core is filled with spare ribs.

Explanation: There is an infinity of things we cannot prove -- the moon being filled with spare ribs is one of them. Now you might expect that any “reasonable” person would know that the moon can’t be filled with spare ribs, but you would be expecting too much. People make wild claims, and get away with them, simply on the fact that the converse cannot otherwise be proven.

Example #2:

To this very day (at the time of this writing), science has been unable to create life from non-life; therefore, life must be a result of divine intervention.

Explanation: Ignoring the false dilemma, the fact that we have not found a way to create life from non-life is not evidence that there is no way to create life from non-life, nor is it evidence that we will some day be able to; it is just evidence that we do not know how to do it. Confusing ignorance with impossibility (or possibility) is fallacious.

Exception: The assumption of a conclusion or fact deduced from evidence of absence, is not considered a fallacy, but valid reasoning.

Jimbo: Dude, did you spit your gum out in my drink?

Dick: No comment.

Jimbo: (after carefully pouring his drink down the sink looking for gum but finding none...) Jackass!

Tip: Look at all your existing major beliefs and see if they are based more on the lack of evidence than evidence. You might be surprised as to how many actually are.

If Mueller indeed has absolutely nothing, then why convene a grand jury? Wouldn't that just blow up in his face?

They were being watched since 2015, and not by .U,S. intelligence:
British spies were first to spot Trump team's links with Russia

Mueller is going to take this investigation anywhere it leads. Financials, that Dossier file whatever.
There were no "links," you brain damaged baboon. What they did is use espionage the British had conducted on the Trump campaign to get around the FISA court. That bogus "dossier" was compiled by an American company, Fusion GPS.

Yep--but it doesn't eliminate the FACT that foreign intelligence was obviously listening to conversations between Trump surrogates and what they believed to be Russian intelligence agents.

You know, I would think that any moron on the street would "figure" that if you're calling Russians or they're calling you, you're probably being wiretaped by several different sources.

"GCHQ--first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious “interactions” between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents, a source close to UK intelligence said. This intelligence was passed to the US as part of a routine exchange of information, they added.

Over the next six months, until summer 2016, a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians, sources said.

The European countries that passed on electronic intelligence – known as sigint – included Germany, Estonia and Poland. Australia, a member of the “Five Eyes” spying alliance that also includes the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand, also relayed material, one source said.

Another source suggested the Dutch and the French spy agency, the General Directorate for External Security or DGSE, were contributors.

It is understood that GCHQ was at no point carrying out a targeted operation against Trump or his team or proactively seeking information. The alleged conversations were picked up by chance as part of routine surveillance of Russian intelligence assets. Over several months, different agencies targeting the same people began to see a pattern of connections that were flagged to intelligence officials in the US."
British spies were first to spot Trump team's links with Russia

Even after Obama kicked out all Russian diplomates--Michael Flynn was stupid enough to get on phone with the Russian ambassador and lied about his conversation--stating he didn't talk about Sanctions--and they busted him over that one--because it was wiretapped. It wasn't the Trump tower that was wiretaped it was Russian phone lines.
Flynn Is Said to Have Talked to Russians About Sanctions Before Trump Took Office

Which is why Trump Jr. couldn't even pull off a secret meeting at the Trump tower. It wasn't U.S. intelligence that was watching them, it was everyone else.

Which is also why Shep Smith knows that Trump surrogates were not only on the phone with the Russian ambassador but with Russian intelligence agents, including the very day that the DNC was getting hacked into.

So Comey told Trump the truth--that Trump personally wasn't under investigation by the FBI or any other U.S. Intelligence agency--but Britain and the 5 eyes were sure watching Trump and his team.

What this boils down too, is Barack Obama outfoxed everyone. He knew he couldn't trust James Comey-- who is also under investigation for his interference into the election, and especially not after what he did to Hillary Clinton, so he used foreign intelligence to do it. And it is well known that he preserved a lot of that intelligence, meaning he wouldn't turn it over to James Comey or anyone with an R behind their name. But you can bet Robert Mueller has it all.
DOJ to Investigate James Comey and the FBI

"IN THE final hours of Barack Obama's presidency, some White House officials reportedly raced to spread and preserve information about possible communications between associates of then-candidate Donald Trump and Russians.

The New York Times, citing former American officials, reported that these officials were concerned that the information they were gaining on the Russian meddling in the election and the possible campaign contact could be compromised with the new administration, and they wanted to set up any future investigation with the information.

According to The Times, after Obama asked for an investigation into Russian tampering into the elections, officials found some "damning" evidence."

And this is where we get the 17 different intelligence agencies all in agreement that Russians interferred into the election to help Trump win. Intelligence was coming in from everywhere.

So they get them under oath--they lie--then they're busted for lying because they ALREADY KNOW the answers.

Yeah I am copying and pasting REAL articles with and verifiable links, and then I comment on the article. I know you're used to conspiracy theories but I am not on this board to fill you with conspiracy theories. You get enough of that from Sean Hannity and all your right wing talk show hosts, so REALITY is good for you for a change.

Your constant bullshit is much worse. You also voted for a criminal.

Mueller found nothing incriminating in his investigation. He is now moving into phase two. Manufacturing evidence by way of threatening witnesses to testify what was provided to them as their testimony instead of the truth.
