Why We're Where We Are

Yours are not facts but opinions, history has revealed the facts...

Here is a fact history has revealed:

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. —Winston Churchill
WC and Maggie Thatcher supported NHS, sweet Athena.

Sweet Jakey, times have changed. ISIS will be coming over very soon.
ISIS is already here, and we will handle it just fine.

Jakey, when the ISIS savages come over in numbers, your president will run under his desk. What an anti-social way to treat invited guests.
Have you invited them for a cotillion ball?

It is difficult to fight materialism....in fact, it is a mistake to fight it in the absolute, meaning if the alternative is starvation and homelessness.

That was the reason for so much of Franklin Roosevelt's success.

And once the desire for material satisfaction is given societal blessing....well, the line between sustaining life and simple greed is blurred.

Government promises you the chicken, and the Chevy.

Few ask where government gets the money to fulfill those promises, but your part of the deal is your vote, and what bit of liberty they chip away from your birthright.

But, like it or not, if you agree to the deal....you are a Leftist.

We are at this point overall in a macro sense for 2 reasons. Slavery and the Wilson administration.

We are at this point because of far right wing Christian prosperity preachers.

We are at this point because of far right wing Christian prosperity preachers.

you are dreaming. We have nearly unfiltered unstoppable left wing narratives running things for the most part. Some of which you speak stems from slavery. No slaves, no civil war (most likely) no modern civil rights movement, no racial quotas etc etc.

Lemme guess, it's all lefty's fault.

Leaders on the right have all been brilliant insightful statesmen- ahead of their time, like Rick Perry and Sarah Palin.

Do you not find it ironic that the Republican party is the defender of the rich, the most materialistic group of people in America?

Facts not in evidence.

It's one of those 'common sense' judgments, like 'two plumb lines are parallel.'

You really should think before you post.

Rich people generally choose to have more material things than everyone else. The live in bigger, nicer homes. They wear nicer clothes. They drive more expensive cars. They have more material things. They could choose to not to live like that. They could choose to live modestly, shop at WalMart, and buy Camrys. But they generally don't. They have more, nicer material things. Hence, rich people are more material.

Rich people tend to support the Republican Party more.

Ergo, the Republican Party supports the most material group of people in America.

It'd be pretty stupid to claim that lower taxes doesn't benefit everyone.
You're not stupid, are you?

It's be pretty stupid to believe that most people don't want to better themselves materially.
You're not stupid, are you?

And all those things you claim 'rich people' have.....it'd be pretty stupid to claim that the less rich don't want.
You're not stupid are you?

Then stop doing contortions to defend the Liberals/Progressives who who stole freedom and liberty by bribing the electorate with material rewards.

Your first two points in the OP were that the Left is materialistic.

The most materialistic people in America are the rich. And the Republican party is the party of the rich.

So if your premise is based upon materialism, it holds that materialism should come more so from the political right, not the Left.

So..... Half of America is 'rich'?

How does that work out?

And since when are Trailer Park dwellers and stupid rednecks capable of becoming rich?

While the oh-so-enlightened and oh-so-educated and oh-so-superior scum in the dimocrap party live on cat food?

Is that how it works.

You people are juvenile fucking douchebags. Make a decision, are Republicans the party of the Rich or the Party of the stupid.

And if you say that we're rich and stupid, what does that say about you? Too stupid to become rich?

Rich and stupid or just rich or just stupid or just rednecks or just -- Just go to fucking hell you ignorant losers.

You're so stupid you can't even figure out why life has shit all over you

(hint -- because you're fucking stupid)

(and lazy)

(and genetically inferior)

(and at the bottom end of the gene pool)

(and don't know who your daddies are)

(and because your parents are closely related)

IOW, you're just scum.

I'm a Republican.

I also work with rich people, some who are extraordinarily wealthy. And I generally admire them for it because almost all that I know have earned it. I would like to see more people get wealthy.

But the premise in the OP is that the Left is materialistic. It is the rich who possess more materials, and it is the Republican Party and conservative ideology which protects and promotes this.

That's not a normative judgement. That's merely an empirical statement. Thus, the premise in the OP is incorrect and the argument fails.

You could have simply said a republic has natural law principles as a foundation and that natural law is instinctual, with survival, then liberty serving that making success and satisfaction at living, or happiness.

But noooooooo, you had to try and describe it from the other direction. Perhaps you list all the things in the universe that are needed or wanted, starting with a chicken and a Chevy.
