Are pregnancy, family planning and contraceptive devices health issues or moral issues?

answer please.

Hey fuckface, they are PERSONAL health issues, not PUBLIC health issues.

Now go fuck yourself!
Wow! It's like reading Hawthorne all over again! Go fuck yourself! What a sterling argument from an obviously superior mentality. I stand in awe of you and your golden, salient rhetoric.

And to think. I wasted all that time studying when here I could have been doing beer bongs and watching professional wrestling and still managed to create a thing of beauty and conciseness like "go fuck yourself".

You're an irritating, ignorant hack! If you don't know the difference between PRIVATE and PUBLIC you can rest assured that 'all that studying' was a COMPLETE waste of yours and your frustrated teacher's time.

unless you are comparing being pregnant to having cancer, NO.
I'm still not getting the cancer reference. If you're pregnant, you have no health concerns?

Being pregnant is a natural function of human life. ARE YOU COMPARING CANCER TO BEING PREGNANT

No. I never mentioned cancer. I'm saying being pregnant is a health issue. Birth control and family planning are health issues. And as health issues, I cannot understand why anyone seeking birth control and family planning services can legitimately be called a slut.

there is a need for prenatal care, and that's a health issue not a moral one. There is a need for contraceptive devices and that's a health care issue, not a moral issue.

The only way someone could call a woman a slut is on moral grounds. seeking legitimate health care services does not make a slut.

And imagine the gall it takes for someone to make such a judgment. I recall someone talking about casting the first stone, but I'm positive that reference would be lost on the Christian Right and the moralists who cannot understand that pregnancy is a matter of health first.

Aren't all personal health issues private health issues? If a hernia is considered a private health issue and the coverage to repair a hernia was suddenly deemed illegitimate due to an employer's personal feelings about it, would there be any outrage? It's as private a health concern as a pregnancy.

And yet there is indifference toward pregnancy from a health care perspective shared by Conservatives. The bring words like 'slut' to condemn those seeking family planning and contraceptive devices, even though these things are health matters. So it must be some stilted, antiquated, archaic morals involved to make the leap from 'slut' to hernia patient.

What you fail to recognize is the difference between accidents and planned behavior. Unlike sexual activity, no one CHOOSES to get a hernia.

Notice the several dodges to your question?

And it's such a simple question too.

If it's such a big health issue to some, then they shouldn't get pregnant..

jeeeze, what did us women ever do without you people..

A person could say that about anything.

For example, if illness is such a big issue, people shouldn't get sick.

In the REAL world, not every woman who gets pregnant, planned for it or wanted it to happen.

In that both are legitimate health concerns, I'd say pregnancy is like cancer. They both require a specialized medical field for treatment. They both should be covered in any health policy worth it salt. And neither cancer nor pregnancy is reason to cast aspersions on the patient.

what about married people that want to use contraceptives because of medical conditions which could hurt a woman if she gets pregnant?

I still want evidence that Rush called anybody a 'slut'.

Food and water are necessities and health issues too, but does anybody propose that insuranvce companies be mandated to provide those?

Hionestly people, do you think there are any Americans who would actually use contraceptives who cannot afford to buy them or who are incvapable of showing some personal restraint until they can? In the day when we all paid for our routine daily requirements, we paid the doctor when we went, paid for the shot, paid for the prescription, paid for the band-ades or whatever we needed at least up to a certain deductible threshhold. We do that for our automobiles too. We don't expect insurance to pay for the new tires or spark plugs or routine oil changes. If we did, insurance premiums would be unaffordable for most.

It is precisely because of government meddling that has sent medical insurance premiums through the roof too. Expecting people old enough to have sex to pay or their contracveptives is at least a tiny step back to a more sane and more affordable system.

So are you saying health care for the celibate, tough nuggies for the rest of you poor people who want to enjoy the gift of sex? Try selling that to EVERYONE ELSE!

If she needs 3k a year to pay for her birth control she is a slut. If she needs that much money to support her sex addiction she should be in porn, or to a Nevada brothel where her financial needs will be commensurate with her activities.

I did not make such a comparison. Is it then you opinion that pregnancy, family planning and contraceptive devices are moral issues, not health issues? And if they are not health issues, why should women see an OB/GYN while pregnant? Shouldn't they just consult a priest or rabbi or minister?

Well, maybe you should demand that Georgetown expel all priests and replace them with OB/GYN's?

Now that's funny.

Both are medical conditions requiring a doctors care

Who was it who said that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink?

Why should the taxpayers pay the party expenses of some slut who can't keep her legs together?

how are the taxpayers paying?

We are all paying for health Insurance or having to pay a fine which still goes for health care and Government has ordered that all insurance pay for contraception.
Never mind that Religious intuitions who have their own health care plans are still forced to pay for something our churches are against in ideology.

Have any prominent (or not so prominent) cultural conservatives come forward to publicly condemn Rush for his comments about a college coed?

Or can we now finally openly acknowledge that cultural conservatives are giving Rush a pass for his comments because he's a conservative?
