Will White Privilege End Affirmative Action?

Um, in that case, yes, he was working off incorrect information. The South was not arming slaves to fight the North. They were conscripting slaves to do service support roles.
He wasn’t repeating any information he was repeating what he saw. Black man armed for the confederacy ready to fight off the union soldiers. God bless the confederacy

You really think Frederick Douglass was out anywhere near Confederate Military Units? That was one guy the Confederacy would have LOVED to gotten their hands on. Shortly followed by a rope.

Holy fucking shit... did you seriously just say this?

Here - Check this out... the Wiki on Frederick Douglas.

On September 3, 1838, Douglass successfully escaped by boarding a northbound train of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad.[36] The area where he boarded was thought to be a short distance east of the train depot, in a recently developed neighborhood between the modern neighborhoods of Harbor East and Little Italy. This depot was at President and Fleet Streets, east of "The Basin" of the Baltimore harbor, on the northwest branch of the Patapsco River. Research cited in 2021, however, suggests that Douglass in fact boarded the train at the Canton Depot of the Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Baltimore Railroad on Boston Street, in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, further east

In short, he escaped from slavery in 1838... 23 years BEFORE the Civil War started.

There is no documented or verifiable history that validates this stupid nonsense.

It was against the confederate law for blacks to actually pick up arms and fight in their military.

That is a historical fact.

They served as cooks, and performed menial task, because many were forced to and in some cases they were paid nothing, because essentially they were still slaves.

That is also a historical fact.

And in a number of cases there were some who acted as informants on behalf of the Union.

Which is also another historical fact.

Either way, the
Confederacy was stomped into ruins, as it should have been.

All of the actual history on record will not help this person.

Agreed. It is a pointless waste of my time to spoon feed facts to someone like you,who does not possess the mental acuity to comprehend them.

His words live on today. They were soldiers witnessed by one of the most famous men in history

Yes his words do live on, as they should.

It is also unfortunate that his words and their actual meaning are currently being used for convenience and taken out of context by those like you.

If he was alive today, you would likely view him as inferior.

He would certainly not be aligned with your sentiment of

“God Bless the Confederacy”

You’re treating him inferior.. I’m respecting the man. Treat blacks that don’t agree with you with respect we’re not agreeing with your narrative of the Confederate war. Slavery was ending in the south. There was no need for a war

Whatever. You are quite “Special”, and have obviously worked very diligently towards creating your own personal belief system and alternate history.

And I acknowledge that.

In a non complimentary way.
