Women should dress modestly or expect to 'entice a rapist...'

Wow.

Okay, I believe you.
.
That was a great deflection. If you just wanted someone to agree with you then you should have just said that.
What's the deflection? I asked a direct question and you provided a direct answer.

I don't get that very often, so good for you.

No need to be defensive.
.
I asked you a question in my post. You deflected instead of answering it. I didnt get defensive. I just pointed out your deflection.
Ah, my apologies, I thought you were just asking an absurd rhetorical question.

No, the woman in the photo looks nothing like any 90-year old I've ever seen.

Okay?
.
Following that logic would you agree its not about sex....at least in those cases?
In those cases, absolutely.

why don't you start a poll? Put up a picture of two women, one that you find attractive and one that you don't, and ask, "would you rape either of these women?"
I just asked a direct question, that should be enough for reasonable adults.

Your answer?
.
I already typed out my answer to Marty.

Why are you afraid to do the poll?
Okay, I wasn't expecting a straight answer.

"Afraid"? What is this, grade school? Be an adult and answer the question. Or don't.

What case of rape are you aware of that was about sex and not power?

So says Chrissie Hynde...

Singer Chrissie Hynde has come under fire for suggesting it can be a woman's fault if she is raped.

"You know if you don't want to entice a rapist, don't wear high heels so you can't run from him," she said, in an interview in the Sunday Times.

The Pretenders singer, 63, said she takes "full responsibility" after she was sexually assaulted aged 21 in Ohio.

"If I'm walking around in my underwear and I'm drunk. Who else's fault can it be?" Hynde told Krissi Murison.

How ignorant can a person be? I don't care if a woman is walking naked down the middle of the street, she is not looking to be raped. Anyone who believes a person's attire is an invitation to rape needs a good slap to the head...

I doubt anyone is "looking" to be raped, but wearing provocative clothing, or walking "naked" as you suggest will likely up the odds of a sexual assault.

It shouldn't. If you intend to wear clothes that might attack attention, you should know how to handle yourself.
All women should learn a few basic things to protect themselves no matter what they wear.
Children also should be taught what to do if someone approaches them and says something that is not right.
Why should children be raised to be a sissy missy instead of a confident knowledgeable bold person that is comfortable in any situation?

Raise them to be at ease up town, down town or even the docks. Don't wrap them in bubble rape and only venture within a few blocks of home and only when with another person.

Please let me know precisely how I would research such a ridiculous question.

There has never been a rape that wasn't about power.

Okay, great, we're done.

Dont get defensive. I just wondered why you think power has anything to do with clothes.

A major go to H E double toothpicks

men should super glue their zipper if they have no control

Or just super glue the end of their P closed and to their zipper in the close position.

Naked, half dressed of anything else, no man has a right to rape any women.

I will dress as I want to, mostly depending on the weather, my mood and my plans for the day, or night.

If you can't control yourself, maybe you should be neutered or fully castrated. I'm sure a vet with a pair of ball crushers could help, or there is the knife instead.

You are free to dress as you choose, you shouldn't have to worry about it. The reality is however that if you dress provocatively you are probably increasing your chances of drawing unwanted attention.
Is unwanted attention the same as rape? If a woman walks down the street naked and doesnt want anyone looking at her. All attention is unwanted correct?

Unwanted attention being gawking, whistling, provocative remarks, sexual assault, any attention the woman was not looking for.

If a young attractive woman walks down a busy street in a business suit, and then the same woman walks down the same street in a bikini, which outfit is likely to attract the most attention ? Obviously the bikini would, and would also likely arouse men more than the business suit.

Because of this, the woman would be wise to avoid wearing the bikini. This may not be fair, and it doesn't excuse a mans behavior, but it's reality.

Or many of them should go topless and dull the allure. I've seen the tempering effects of copious nudity with my own family, practicing naturists living in a clothing optional home. I didn't grow up that way and I was insane in my lust for titties, but seeing my wife naked or at least topless on a daily basis has calmed me down greatly. I'm no longer addicted to porn as well. Also, our 12 year old son shows every indication of having a balanced view toward the female body, something that studies have shown consistent with naked households.

We need more, not less.

What some on this thread are saying is that they'd be more likely to rape a woman in a bikini than a woman in a business suit. That's pretty messed up.

Depends on the street she is walking down. If its a street in Santa Cruz by the beach a suit would attract more attention. The opposite holds true for a bikini in the business district of san francisco.

Why do you think its wise for the woman to avoid wearing either outfit?

Whats your rationale for that opinion?

That younger women get raped more often than older one's do. If 'power' were the only motive, it would be evenly spread.

Why would it be evenly spread? Are young women more likely to be out and about or are old women?
