Unless Trump is an absolute nut case and would launch an attack on another nation simply because its leader said some mean things about you and your country. And if Trump is capable doing such a thing, he needs to go. Now.

All he has done by shooting off his mouth is paint himself into a corner from which he will look nothing but foolish. "North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States"? Really? Kim Jong Un is going to threaten the U.S. again, then what? More empty rhetoric. Anything else would be criminal.

Look, noone wants war, and I said before and it's not a mystery that there is no easy solution to this issue. Like so many problems in life prevention before the disaster is far more effective than a cure after the spread of the problem.

So, if the red line is that North Korea cannot have the ability to launch a nuclear weapon (a very wise and prudent line I might add), then it must be met as such. The entire world needs to do their part. There cannot be any game of footsies with China in hopes that they may come around, they have been encouraging the antagonising of America for a long time.

If China faces direct consequences in the form of broad, multi-nation alliance, than maybe this ends peacefully. If you allow North Korea to have nukes you are basically telling the entire world, "you don't need a massive investment in the military to play with the big boys, you can be a hellhole despot nation and just get your hands on some nukes and you are an equal. Cannot happen, it simply can not happen.
