Yeah, it's all Trump's fault for the TDS crew.
The FAA knew about this issue for months but the 5 week shutdown delayed their response.
That said...Trump SHOULD step up and demand these planes be grounded until we know what happened and can be assured that a fix has been made and tested properly...if that's even possible
We'll see what he does.
It's Boeing's mess and they better fucking clean it up fast, before their stock tanks even more. It's not Trump's mess. Boeing is working on a software fix that uses more data inputs to confirm the stall, and doesn't do the extreme dive correction. That fix had better be done and implemented before the end of March, not as proposed at the end of April.

Not everything that goes wrong is Trump's fault, BUT this is one of those few cases where Trump is absolutely at some fault.
His ELECTIVE shutdown cost this country many billions of dollars in productivity which includes a 5 week delay of the software fix implementation by Boeing, because Boeing was working with regulators on this issue and they had some disagreements on it when shutdown brought the process to a halt.
