That said, there are many sites along the roads I travel where every year flowers and little crosses always appear. Doesn't bother me a bit. But that's not a little cross, is it?

Let the poor woman mourn her son for a time. It's the decent thong to do.
Looked like concrete in the bucket to me. Looked kind of permanent. 5 feet high. Still, I would not have complained about it (but I have pretty thick skin), but obviously, two years is long enough for some folks.
