The theme of the Boston Tea Party, an iconic event in American history, has long been used by anti-tax protesters.[24][25][26] It was part of Tax Day protests held throughout the 1990s and earlier.[27][28][29][30] More recently, the anniversary of the original Boston Tea Party was commemorated on December 16, 2007,[31] by Republican Congressman Ron Paul supporters who held a fund raising event for the 2008 presidential primaries advocating an end to fiat money and the Federal Reserve System, disengaging from foreign entanglements in Iraq and Afghanistan, and upholding States' rights.[32][33][34]
Fox News commentator Juan Williams says that the TPM emerged from the ashes of Paul's 2008 presidential primary campaign.[35]

disengaging from foreign entanglements in Iraq and Afghanistan
Who was the fucking president in 2008?

You want a REAL TEA Party candidate? His name is Ron Paul.
Did you notice the TEA party no longer supports Ron Paul they support big government Romney and GETRICH.

I disagree.... at least regarding Romney. I see him as a reasonable candidate for TEA Partiers. He is what they respect.... hard working, honest, decent, intelligent, thoughtful, calm, rational, articulate. He'd make a good President, he is personally conservative and believes in getting government out of our lives.... with the added bonus of being the most economically smart man in the running.

The Tea Party first started because they were sick of Republicans who didn't represent them in politics. It's why they voted tons of incumbents out a few years ago. Romney's not conservative, and not only that he's not a "Washington outsider". He'll basically do the same as Obama with minor differences. The Tea Party wanted a revolution-not the same old Republicans.

This is an Anniversary Event not THE tea party no matter how much you wish it was. Getting out of Iraq is NOT what the Tea Party has ever been about..maybe they spoke about it at the ANNIVERSARY OF THE TEA PARTY but never THE Tea Party itself. Thanks

No you are confusing it. The are tea party's nation wide.
You have TEA party .org you have tea party.com you have tea party.net none are connected with each other but they are tea party's. I just posted a video about one of the tea party's tea party

So, just to be clear:

You're saying that the Tea Party is actually a 9/11 Truther movement that changed into an Anti-Tax, Anti-Corporate-Regulation movement?

Your big letters aside. What connections were there between a Ron Paul fund raising event, and the 2009 Tea Party protests?

Did Ron Paul, or his campaign or staff attend the first Tea Party protest in 2009?

There have been literally thousands of various small events throughout the history of our nations that had a "Tea Party" theme to them. It's a very common thing among Americans.

Are you saying all these events are linked, and that the actual Boston Tea Partiers were really the originators of the modern "Tea Party"?

And "Foxnews's Juan Williams" has NO credibility on this issue, as FoxNews was the main promoter of the Tea Party. As far as I know, Ron Paul has never held any love for FoxNews.

Which still doesn't show any link between:

1. the video you posted (showing 9/11 truthers in Boston)
2. the Ron Paul anti-war themed fundraiser in 2008
and
3. the anti-tax Tea Party movement that began protesting in January 2009, 3 days after the Obama inauguration.

This is the connection protesting the war in Iraq and Afghanistan unless you are saying obama started those wars? I am not sorry that I busted your dream that the tea party begin because of obama.

oh and watch the last video I posted.

and you keep denying it which still makes you wrong. Did you watch the video I posted. Sure you didn't because I was still watching it after you posted.

OK, let's try this another way then.

Will you agree that this chart is a generally accurate portrayal of current political divisions in American politics?

And, if so, will you also agree that Libertarian values are not the same as Conservative values?

meltdown imminent, cucumber?

Now, if a Liberal group threw an event, and called it a "Tea Party" two years after the Ron Paul event, and it had an anti-war theme...

Would you then say that that liberal group was part of the same "Tea Party" movement as Ron Paul?

And the tea party began protesting the Iraq war, long before obama came along. I think Rn Paul has made it clear it's a non party group it has all walks in Republicans democrats left leaning democrats right wingers. it's the melting political pot.
