In the following scriptures Paul warns against the surmise that the day of Christ was at hand; that it would be preceeded by a great apostasy...the apostasy of the latter-day white churches.

1 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him."

2 "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is a hand."

3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come until the great falling away of the latter-day white churches, followed by the revealing of the black man, the man of lawlessness"

4 "Who opposes and exalts himself above the white man, and as Pope will sit in the Catholic Church masquarading himself as the Holy Father.

5 "Remember not that when I was with you before, I told you these things?"

6 "So now you know what keeps him from exalting himsef."

7 "For that interracial marriage is already at work, and only the few who participate in it will continue to do so until the white churches fall away from the belief that interracial marriage is wrong"

8 "And then shall that Wickedness be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming."

9 "Even the black man, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders."

10 "And with all deceivablenesss of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."

12 "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

13 "But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:"

14 "Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."

15 "Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle."

16 "Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, "

17 "Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work."

Stop putting racist bullcrap in the scriptures. The scriptures don't justify your hate. God has commanded us to love one another. And the proof that we are disciples of Christ is our love for our fellow man.

LOL What part of my interpretation is "bullcrap"?

Have not modern-day white Americans fallen away from the view once held by their forefathers about interracial marriage with the black man?

And, have not the African Americans exalted themselves as the result of that falling away?

Whatta you think Daniel meant when he wrote in 11:17,
"......and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her....."

Hmm ...the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is one of the most predominantly "white" churches out there.

So? What's your point?
The point of the scriptures is that, unlike our white American ancestors, modern-day white Americans for the most part do not believe that interracial marriage with the black man is wrong. Paul called it the "falling away" or "great apostasy".

I do not know what kind of cult you've involved yourself with but I assure you the bible does not teach Christians to be racist and your interpretation of scripture here is way, way, way off! - Jeremiah

Bridgitte, I can see straight through this and imagine others can as well. Your attempt to paint Christians as racist is going to become a stumbling block to you. You might want to give 2 Thessalonians another read. There is a scripture warning in there for you.

God says he will recompense those with trouble who cause trouble for his children. In other words, when you intentionally try to create trouble for us? He is going to reward you with Trouble of your own. Trust me when I tell you, Bridgitte, that you cannot afford to do that. I'd quit now if I were you. - Jeremiah

Your interpretation is completely false, Bridgitte. Why are you pretending to be a Christian while writing this nonsense? It is obvious what you are attempting to do here.

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."

So basically what this tells us is that GOD is a prick?

You people are certifiably nuts.

All of it. If you have to change the text, you aren't interpreting it. you are rewriting it.

Nonsense. All races are welcome and participate without exclusion. Growth in Central/South America, Asia, and Africa would indicate your assertion is incorrect. Heck, 1 million Saints are in Mexico alone. Even excluding hispanics from the rest of the nations, that would make 1/14th of the Church Hispanic.

I realize the CJCLDS has made great strides worldwide since distancing itself from the racist doctrines of some of its founders in the late 1970's, but its racial demographics in the melting pot of the world indicate that it still has a long way to go.

Don't get me wrong, Avatar; as religious kooks go, Mormons constitute my favorite group, because I've never known a Mormon who wasn't also a really good person.

Paint Christians as racist?! Where'd I say that?!
All the white Evangelical and Pentacostal Christians that I'm aware of, glorifies the black man, and like you, would call me racist!

I haven't written anything that's "nonsense"! Those things have actually taken place in America, thus fulfilling the prophetic scriptures.

There's nothing racist about my interpretation of the prophetic scriptures. It's very clear to me that God chose to use for the timeline of Christ's second coming, events that have transpired in America and between black and white Americans. Nothing racist at all about that.

Since when did America become Persia?
Daniel is talking about Persia in chapter 11.
