5 Years of Obama

What's creepy with Obama cult followers is they have to post little posters and then bow down and THANK HIM, not Congress, not we the people, not our country, BUT THANK A MAN THAT IS PRESIDENT

how sick, this country is hopeless

Thanks, Mr. President!

Not overly difficult considering he took over in the midst of a massive recession. Things really had nowhere to go but up, so what did you expect? If Bozo the clown was elected president things still would have gotten better.

What year was it that the House became Republican?

2010.

That's the exact year the economic recovery, slowed.

You folks seem to forget, that when Ronald (Iran/Contra) Reagan was President and when George W (Iraq) Bush was President, those guys engaged in massive public spending to hire in the public sector so that UE went down or was at least stable.

President Obama? Funding for the public sector was frozen.

Hence the slow recovery.

So with Obama conservatives put the big freeze on public sector hiring and then have the nerve to complain.

It's pretty unbelievable.

His economy didn't get him elected, RW. I asked you to be real, and you couldn't do it.

How more real can you get?

Do you think he would have been reelected if the people were not satisfied with the economy? So much so that the economy was barely an issue in the 2012 election
By the time Obama leaves office in 2015, unemployment is projected to reach a low 5.8% and the Dow could be as high as 20,000, more bad news for Republicans.

Fed Officials Lower Projection for Unemployment Rate in 2014 - Bloomberg
Because their predictions have always been so accurate, right?

Anyone who believes whatever unemployment rate the government puts out is a fool.

All they do is add to the number of people they claim have stopped looking for work in order to lower their fictional unemployment rate.

Someone please inform the class where exactly people go to "register" they're no longing seeking employment. Must be a list somewhere that they add up at the end of each month to come up with their latest figue, no? Otherwise, how in the world do they arrive at that month's number?

That's pretty unique.

Those numbers have never really been scored against the economic health of the nation.

And they also include retirees or people that are so sick or injured..they can't work.

You folks are using so much energy to be negative it's sad that it's transparent.

Imagine what would happen if you folks actually tried to get things done?

It is possible you know.

How many people dropped out due to being so injured they couldn't work? That crap won't fly. It's nonsense.
The rolls of people on disability have exploded. Does anyone with two functioning brain cells really think there have been waves of people suddenly so injured they simply cannot work? Or is it that the job market is so bad they fake or play up injuries to insure an income?
How can the Republicans get something done when all they control is the House, while Dems control the Senate and White House? All of our problems stem from the Dems getting "something" done.

You do know that there are Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan that are disabled and can't hold jobs, right?

You do know that..right?

Way to avoid the question. There might be a thousand or so in that category. That doesnt mean much to a labor force in the millions.
Try again.

A THOUSAND or so?

There were something like 50,000 injuries in those wars.

That's a lot more than a thousand or so.

And because the medical technology has improved so much, folks are coming home surviving injuries that would have otherwise killed them.

That means that they will require a lifetime of care.

So?

Not only can't they work..they will be taxing the health care system.

That's what Bush's legacy is.

And what I'm not including is veterans who are coming home and will be discharged from service.

Normally? They could at least look forward to a public sector job, if the private sector wasn't hiring.

Now?

Conservatives have blocked funding for public sector jobs.

So in addition to screwing wounded vets, conservatives are screwing healthy vets as well.

Aren't you proud of that?

.

I do wish someone could launch a broad, definitive, current study on the psychology of political partisanship.

The way they construct their alternative universe is just fascinating -- evidently only seeing one side of the story, completely blind to the other side. Is it really blindness caused by adherence to their ideology, some kind of intellectual blind spot, or willful blindness? Man oh man, that would be just one of many questions I'd like to see them address.

.

Here's one link. I'm not sure how broad and definitive, but article shows the partisanship we engage in. Bush bad because of Iraq but Obama can have anyone on the planet killed via drones but Obama good anyway. On and on.

Even 50k is not much in the context of a hundred million workforce. And I dont believe a single figure you quote because you are a known liar here.
Go back to scrubbing the NYSE floor.

If Bush's wars added all that to the debt, why is the debt $7T higher than when he left office?
