Yeah, it's amazing how the number of unemployed/out of work Americans keeps climbing his self-reported unemployment rate numbers keep getting lower and lower.

One thing that will help that number go down as well is if Chicago's record-setting murder/gun-violence rate goes up and many of those being counted as 'un-employed' get killed. That way he can simultaneously ignore their gun violence rate AND not count MORE un-employed Americans.

dont forget the way the local governments are playing the numbers.
I just quit/retired from my job as a network engineer for a county in Maryland, I was working 8 to 12 hours a day with full benefits.
They filled that position with two people that break up the work day with two 5 hour shifts. This leaves them at a level that they dont work enough hours to be considered full time and do not get the full benefits to go along with the job.
Two people under employed but its a net gain of one job on the charts. It will no doubt go down as part of the jobs created statistics.

The only people playing the numbers are the Right!

The number working PT for economic reasons is going DOWN!

There are many long term secular trends that have put us where we are. The fed controls monetary policy and Congress controls fiscal policy. Congress has been on a forty year hiatus. The fed can't do it all. From what I can see, these trends will continue until congress starts acting in a fiscally responsible manner. Playing politics doesn't help.
