A court that doesn't represent the poeple

The supreme Court no longer represents the will of the poeple.

Test your Supreme Court knowledge: In the entire history of the court, exactly one justice has been

a) nominated by a president who didnā€™t win the popular vote and

b) confirmed by a majority of senators who collectively won fewer votes in their last election than did the senators who voted against that justiceā€™s confirmation......

Donald Trump won just under 46 percent of the popular vote and 2.8 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton. And Judge Gorsuch was confirmed by a vote of 54-45. According to Kevin McMahon of Trinity College, who wrote all this up this year in his paper ā€œWill the Supreme Court Still ā€˜Seldom Stray Very Farā€™?: Regime Politics in a Polarized America,ā€ the 54 senators who voted to elevate Judge Gorsuch had received around 54 million votes, and the 45 senators who opposed him got more than 73 million. Thatā€™s 58 percent to 42 percent......

And it gets worse, Thomas and Alito were both confirmed by senators who got less votes than the opposition. That mean 4 out of 9 judges were appointed against the wishes of the majority.

The Supreme Court no longer represents the people.

The Senate does as well.....once they changed the system for electing Senators from the State Legislators to the popular vote of a state, they too represent the people of their state, rather than just the State as a unit.

Do you even understand that the metric for popular vote is meaningless?

Let Me dumb it down so you can understand it.

The popular vote for a President is like saying he didn't win the S&H Green Stamps sweepstakes. It doesn't matter at all.

Likewise, the total number of people voting for a Senator (Something that they shouldn't even be doing as Senators are supposed to represent their State, not the people) is based on State, not the combined number of people in each State.

This court is every bit as legitimate as it was before.

Hope that clears up your head-in-ass confusion.
Actually, presidential elections shouldn't be subject to popular will, either. The president is not supposed to represent the people; he is supposed to represent the United States.
Correct, but the people don't elect the President. They vote for a President, but their vote is a State issue for electing the 'Electors' of the President. The electoral college is what is used.

These Electors are not even bound to do what the people voted for, but they often do. However, that is still an election that is Statewide. No countrywide election for President is actually held.
The snowflakes keep cackling over the popular vote in presidential elections as if it's constitutional.

Courts aren't supposed to represent the will of the people. That's why states who elect their judges are constantly fucked up.

This is yet more shit that demonstrates why the Democrats lost this fight, and why they continue to lose almost every fight. Even when conservatives are dead set on making the dumbest argument they can think of, the Democrats find an even dumber argument.

Then nominated Kavanaugh who was confirmed in a bi-partisan vote of the Senate. So much for your thread I destroyed it.

There is a reason the representative of STATES select the members of the SCOTUS. The court is there to keep the federal government out of the business of the STATES.
