America: “You have the RIGHT to an attorney”.....but not a doctor right guys?

Funny how US LAW dictates you are entitled, have a RIGHT to the service of an attorney...when you are accused of a crime. In fact if you cant afford one the govt literally says “one will be provided to you” free of charge. Wow. Thats pretty amazing.

When you are accused of some crimes and in many instances you might lose that if you are bailed out of jail.

But get sick? OOOOOHHHH NO....now you don’t have the right to someones service.

I get it now. I can CHOOSE to commit a crime, then im entitled to someones service. But I DONT choose to get sick, but when I do, Im no longer entitled to medical services.

And you wonder why PRESIDENT BERNIE SANDERS is going to happen? This is why. And its past due.

The government is accusing you and uses you taxes to prosecute you. You should have the right to an attorney also provided by your taxes. Unless the government gets you sick or injured you, you don’t have that right.
Hopefully that’s easy enough even for a Sanders supporter to understand.

you provided a link to a propaganda site, not a valid link to factual data.

It is true that most bankruptcy filings have some medical bills listed in them, But it is not true that americans are filing bankruptcy solely due to medical bills..

Nearly every single site you can find will state the same thing.
There's no dispute that most bankruptcies are caused by illness or loss of job causing loss of insurance

wrong again, most bankruptcies are the result of the person taking on more credit than he/she can ever pay back. Most bankruptcies are the result of insufficient cash flow, not being sick.

Of course, being sick doesn't help the cash flow.

of course not, but that does not change the facts that there are no bankruptcies that occur solely due to medical bills as the previous poster claimed.

Your opinion is only that. Almost every single source will note it is the number one reason for bankruptcies in the country. You can try and spin that anyway you want.

And yet it isn't.
Oh, yes it is. You really should use your time and energy on naive college kids like Bernie does. Educated people aren't gonna fall for that shit.

We will have UHC, the only question is when.
I don't think so. The Democrat party isn't going for it.

Doesn't matter.

70% of Americans now support Medicare-for-all—here's how single-payer could affect you

that entire article is a lie from a far left website. To claim that 70% of americans support socialistic medicine is total bullshit.

Sure, we would all like to get medical care "free". But that is impossible. Someone has to pay and if you turn it over to the government everyone will pay through much higher taxes and the quality of care will go down significantly.

Yeah? Go ahead and run on ending Medicare and see how far you get.

According to clown act who lives in his mom's basement, everyone including illegals has a right to free healthcare, food & shelter. I mean after all, you have a right to an attorney.

I thought PROGS were intelligent and educated? 6th amendment to the Constitution speaks of right to attorney. Where does the Constitution cite a right to free healthcare?

Exactly. The left lies.

I am pro-life. I fully support the 2nd Amendment. I believe we need a balanced budget amendment. But I'm "left" because I believe that a country founded on Christian ideas should see that everyone in the country can access affordable health care when they need to?

It's your theory not mine. We sure begged all these countries to use their militaries to help us out in Iraq.

Not that any of it did any good.
But you cannot refute my point, which is the size of our military presence in Europe makes it easier for European countries to spend more on socialized medicine.

I disagree. First because they are not spending more on health care. They are spending less than us but covering everyone.
Money is fungible. If they can spend less on a military, they can spend more on healthcare.

We could spend less on the military and be a better country for it.

Sure, and make other countries pay more for theirs and have less cradle to grave nanny states.

I've said over and over that we should bring every single soldier home.

At what quality of care? How long do you have to wait for routine treatment that in this country you get right away? How often do you hear that you're too old to get treatment for something? These are all things we don't often worry about here.

Some get it right away. Some can't get it. As far as "too old" the new system will be the same one that "old" people are under now and yes, for profit insurance also denies coverages.
So, IOW, it's not really all that great care. Under today's system, age doesn't limit your treatment. It might cause a doctor to make a different recommendation, but you have the options.

Double speak.

On the contrary, quite true.

Sure, when your insurance is done paying the doctor will prescribe pain meds to ease your last moments.

The key word is "affordable". Even with government run helathcare. It is not affordable. And they will place limits on what each person receives after it is instituted. To many groups in a nation that has institutionalized about unfairness.

Which doesn't address the point, which is that we are subsidizing the nanny states of many European countries.

Depends on the insurance you buy, a choice you don't get with socialized medicine.

Run on ending Medicare. Get Trump to do it.

Silly thread.

There's no such thing as a general right to an attorney. The Sixth Amendment is a limitation on government. It says they can't convict you of a crime unless you have legal representation.

It's not a choice for millions now.

Government run healthcare isn't a Christian concept.

Actually, you aren't. That's the point I'm making. You just can't be prosecuted without representation. That's not a right, it's a limitation on government prosecution. It isn't remotely comparable to the supposed "right to health care".
