Not only does the bill include new pork for political purposes, but diverts I think $400b currently allocated for veterans to discretionary spending.

The GOP told Schumer and Pelosi to give them a clean bill to address the necessary veteran issues and they'll sign it in a heart beat.

The media won't tell us how much of that bill would have actually addressed those burn pits, but they dutifully are parroting their assigned propaganda with headlines suggesting the GOP callously rejected legislation that would have helped veterans exposed to toxic burn pits.
