I think it’s wonderful that they play the national anthem before sporting events. Do you play it in the businesses that you own/work at before every work day and do you/they make the employees stand at attention?

I think it’s wonderful that they play the national anthem before sporting events. Do you play it in the businesses that you own/work at before every work day and do you/they make the employees stand at attention?

It was a tradition that started with (I believe) baseball and carried over to other sports. It was to support our troops fighting war at the time.

I don't think it's a major issue in America, but what sickens me is that these stupid jocks feel the need to protest by disrespecting our Anthem and flag.

While I was never a big sports fan, I would turn on the Cleveland Browns from time to time. I haven't turned on a game since they started this kneeling nonsense. Apparently millions more are thinking just like me.

This protest is against the police in our country. I happen to support our police. In fact, one of my coworkers is a retired Cleveland police officer. He is an avid sports fan and completely stopped turning on the games after the kneeling started. His wife was more outraged than he was. After all, she spent many days and nights wondering if her husband and the father of her children was going to come home at the end of his shift for 30 years. Who can blame her or any wife of a police officer?

I believe this is the greatest country in the world. I thank God for putting me here out of all the places on earth. However I too have problems with this country and the way it's run. I have problems with Democrats, liberals, Communists and Socialists. But in such a great place, change is always possible. The last thing I would do is purposely offend anybody in protest--especially our military or police.
