If I had a degree in Astrophysics, and started saying the moon landings never happened, and the moon really is cheese... wouldn't conclude "well he's smart. He has a degree!"... no you would conclude the university is teaching crap.

And the admission scandal is the smoking gun of that fact. People dumb as bricks, paid big bucks to get into ivy league universities, and they didn't flunk out. Proving that standards had dropped so badly, that a person who was no where near qualified in the passed, can pay to get in, and pass with a degree.

If you read Thomas Sowell's book, you know they tried letting unqualified candidates into these same universities in the 70s, and they all failed out, because the curriculum was far beyond their ability. Not so today. You can just buy your way in, and pass. Because they suck.

We live in the age of quotas. Degrees can mean nothing with PC and quotas. You see how we have problems with several military projects and the space launch system as examples. Even with the usual massive cost overruns and corruption built into each project.

I heard on the radio that their average salary is over $158,000 dollars per year...not including the best medical care our tax dollars can buy and all kinds of other perks / benefits.

IMO, federal political salaries - for both the House and Senate should be set / capped at a certain amount that is paid out of US Tax Payer Dollars. ANY amount over that should come from THE STATES THEY REPRESENT!
