Ark of the Covenant

You admitted as much when you wrote.

If you believed the tablets never existed you wouldn't have said that.

But your big problem is that you aren't arguing the ten commandments are wrong.

it's not a belief - they never existed ... they, the phonies by the liar and murderer were destroyed - what is yours a copy of ...

If you believed they never existed you wouldn't have needed to disparage Moses for forging them. Clearly something existed. And since you don't disagree with one single commandment, you can't argue that God isn't the author.

indeed -

an abject baboon could write better commandments than those written by - moses.
You better not let God hear you say that. God is the author of all that is true. All ten of the commandments are true. Tell me which ones you disagree with and why?

When we compare the Gospel of Luke to 2 Samuel, we see further proof that Mary is the new Ark. After the Annunciation, Mary travels to visit her cousin Elizabeth across "the hill country ... of Judah" (Lk 1:39), the same land where King David left the Ark when it came to him (2 Sam 6:11). When Elizabeth hears Mary's greeting, Elizabeth's son, John the Baptist, leaps in her womb. The word for "leap" in the Gospel is the same word used in 2 Samuel to describe how King David danced before the Ark (2 Sam 6:14). Finally, Elizabeth and David use similar language when they question their worthiness to stand before so great a presence of God (2 Sam 6:9, Lk 1:43).

In addition to the Ten Commandments, the Ark also housed a golden jar of manna, as well as the rod of Aaron, which symbolizes the priesthood. Similarly, in Mary's womb, we have Jesus who is the Bread of Life and also the High Priest.

If that's not enough to convince you that Mary is the new Ark, in the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John describes seeing God's temple in Heaven open and the Ark of the Covenant within (see Rev 11:9). In the very next two verses, John says, "A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth" (Rev 12:1-2).

The Ark of the Covenant is a thousand years older than Mary. Revelation 11, isn't about Mary.

I got that. It doesn't change the Christian belief that Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant.

It's not a new belief.

The woman in revelation 12 is Israel. The 12 stars are the 12 tribes. This what happens with uneducated preachers and mega church evangelical charlatans.

I disagree. You aren't factoring in the typology throughout the NT.

Luke lived in Antioch. He knows nothing about the geography of Israel. The Catholics have made this extremely complicated. Isn't Mary enough?

Possibly. More specifically, the woman may represent the People of God, so perhaps not all aspects of Israel? Note the woman was clothed with the sun, a diadem of twelve stars around her head. These stars could be a reference to the Zodiac, or like the sun and the moon, the heavens or the divine. This, of course, leads us back to the People of God/the divine.

The stars might also stand for the twelve Apostles, who are also said to represent the twelve tribes of Israel. There is that connection. I tend to favor the theory that associates the twelve stars with the zodiac and the divine...which circles back to the People of God.

And to ancient Babylonian mythologies that predated the plagiarized Abrahamic myths.

Whose agents, by the way, did an awful lot to squash those mythologies and to kill the people who adhered to them.

If Jesus is the Word of God then Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant. The case for Jesus being the Word of God is similar to the case for Mary as the Ark of the New Covenant. It's steeped in the OT.

No one cares what you think. You can't even properly represent science which you purport to worship.
