"Ben Carson's Bible-Based Tax System and Other GOP Adventures In 'Biblical Economics'

Ole the liberal racist will be coming out of the wood work. Tell me will you lose your mind when another black man beats Hillary for the white house, again? Hillary will and I cannot wait!
Carson won't finish in the top 3 for the GOP primaries. So I haven't even bothered thinking about your scenario.
Get used to saying president Ben Carson! He is a true leader.
Lol no chance. I remember being told to get used to saying President Cain too.
I also remember in 2008 when liberals were saying president Clinton. Lol
A whole lot more were saying President Obama. That was an awesome time.
Yeap the reason there will be a president Carson.

Lol ok. Not even in the top 3. Remember that.

I wouldn't vote for Carson.. because of things like this. Being religious is fine. But don't bring it into politics.
What you fail to see is that SECULARISM then replaces GOD. Otherwise, bakers, hotel owners, and photographers wouldn't be forced to accept standards that are not Christian but Secular AND face "Governmentally" imposed consequences.... SO, one is either stuck with regard for GOD or in fear of the SUPREME LAW of the land as so imposed by LAWYERS AND POLITICIANS!

I find GOD so much more understanding.
Would God punish a baker for making a cake that was used in a gay wedding? Why? So then wouldn't God also punish people for nor murdering every gay they see? Why not?

Good grief.

Ben Carson's Bible-Based Tax System and Other GOP Adventures In 'Biblical Economics' -

".... “I think God is a pretty fair guy,” he said.

And he said, you know, if you give me a tithe, it doesn’t matter how much you make. If you’ve had a bumper crop, you don’t owe me triple tithes. And if you’ve had no crops at all, you don’t owe me no tithes. So there must be something inherently fair about that.

And that’s why I’ve advocated a proportional tax system. You make $10 billion, you pay a billion. You make $10, you pay one. And everybody gets treated the same way. And you get rid of the deductions, you get rid of all the loopholes, and…"""

It's a logical statement whether you believe in God or not heathen.

Here is one of my favorites:

Adventist Beliefs

Seventh-day Adventists agree with many Catholic doctrines, including the Trinity, Christ’s divinity, the virgin birth, the atonement, a physical resurrection of the dead, and Christ’s Second Coming. They use a valid form of baptism. They believe in original sin and reject the Evangelical teaching that one can never lose one’s salvation no matter what one does (i.e., they correctlyreject "once saved, always saved").

Unfortunately, they also hold many false and strange doctrines. Among these are the following: (a) the Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon; (b) the pope is the Antichrist; (c) in the last days, Sunday worship will be "the mark of the beast"; (d) there is a future millennium in which the devil will roam the earth while Christians are with Christ in heaven; (e) the soul sleeps between death and resurrection; and (f) on the last day, after a limited period of punishment in hell, the wicked will be annihilated and cease to exist rather than be eternally damned. (For rebuttals of many of these ideas, see the Catholic Answers tracts, The Antichrist, The Hell There Is, Hunting the Whore of Babylon, The Whore of Babylon, and Sabbath or Sunday?)

Imagine somebody makes 20,000. If they have to pay 2,000 in tax, that leaves 6,000 for rent, 6,000 for medical, 3,000 for food, and 3,000 for everything else.

If someone makes 2,000,000 you leave them 1.8 million. Take out 120,000 in mortgage/tax for some palatial home, 50,000 for the best possible medical, 50,000 in luxurious food, 50,000 for extravagant transportation and that leaves over 1.5 million dollars for god only knows what.

That is the opposite of fair, and assumes the rich will donate hundreds of thousands voluntarily to help those making 20,000.

It's a Market God Utopia that becomes a third world reality.

This man is out of touch.

Ahh, so you're attacking Carson because you're a 'Christian-hater' as well as a 'Racist'...?!

No it isn't because everybody is not treated the same way.

To the poor, that 10% is vital for their health and wellness. For the rich, that 10% is part of the money that isn't even noticed on its way out the door. I know ... jobs ... investment ... well a big chunk of those jobs and investments go overseas!

10% of 30,000 is 3000 which is less than is taken out now. A person making 30,000 now pays about twice that in taxes, 5600.

You're talking total tax, not income tax?
Good luck keeping Social Security and Medicare afloat with that. Oh yeah, Carson doesn't want those programs to continue.
