Best shotgun for self defense ???

I only want semi auto and 20 g.
I think 12g will kick too much

Must have 6 shoots
Must be super low maintenance

I don't know how lo maintenance a semiautomatic would be. The one I use for dove will think up if I let it go to long. That said, I have a 20 ga pump with an 18 inch barrel that's just dandy. It shoots slugs awesome, and at self defense range it patterns 00 buck real nice and the wife and daughter can handle it fine.

Want a good one? Go Mossy 500 like a persuader (or Rem but 5 shot), 12 or 20, 6 shot, reasonable. I have one in 12, don't worry recoil. You won't notice. Semi? Shoot couple boxes in a pump you can pump as fast as a semi cycles. Takes time to recover from a shot, time to pump. 3 shot, 5, 6, 8, whatever. Keep a few in a pocket, butt mount and just feed them. You worry too much, too narrow thinking. Turn the funnel around look in the small end vs the big end.
