Biden looking for new ways to tax poor and middle class Americans

First up, mileage taxes, which will of course disproportionately fall on low- and middle-income Americans who need to drive to work, sometimes long distances, because they can't afford to live near their jobs.

DemoKKKrats = Make America Poor Again!

Trump supported it

We knew this. And may your children die a horrible death. Many families are already consolidating for what is coming. All of those Hollywood people and Media types can burn in hell. And if this is being done to add a dime or so to the gas tax they can go screw themselves also. None of the money goes to what it is meant for. It goes to a general fund. To pay off the parasites.

If I am not mistaken, isn't he trying to get rid of the Middle class?

That's exactly right.

Following the globalist pattern to a t.

The rulers are the Elites or the 1% ..... the rest of the world, us the slaves, working for them and nothing in between.

That is not what you article claims.

Um yea it is. Did you even read it?

"The burden of a VMT would fall disproportionately on those Americans already struggling and least able to afford a new tax."
You were claiming rural people in red states, not suburban people of means commuting into a large city to work.

Of course it is. Try reading it before you make a fool of yourself again.
No, no it doesn’t.

The burden will fall on those who use our roads and bridges the most.

As it should

f you use 50 miles of roads to get to work and I use 5, you should pay more for infrastructure

I don't think anyone here believes that you have to drive even five miles, on a daily basis, to pick up your welfare check.

On the other hand, I, as a construction worker, sometimes may have to drive as far as 80 miles on a daily basis, to get to whatever project I am working on at any given time.

It's easy for a worthless parasite such as yourself to dismiss the burden that you're so happy to impose on those of us who actually work, contribute to society, and pay the taxes that fund your welfare handouts.

Perhaps you don't understand that if a parasite does enough harm to the host, the host will die, and then so will the parasite that is depending on that host for sustenance.

OK, if not a mileage tax or a gas tax, how would you fund infrastructure?

And since most of the infrastructure required to be built is in the red rural states where there has been no infrastructure investment for generations, and citizens pay the lowest taxes in America, don't you think it's appropriate that taxes in those states pay for their infrastructure, not taxes from New York or California?

If it becomes less economical to live in the boonies, then you change where you live.
Ah, of course Marie Antoinette, "just move if you can't afford your current life". I guess you've never had to pay a first, last, security deposit, and moving costs. Mom and Dad covered all that, no doubt.

Wrongwinger surely still lives in his parents' basement, having never held an honest job, nor lived in a place of his own.

Think about it. 90% of people who live out in the country live there because it's cheap to do so. They don't have much money. They drive long distances to low paying jobs because it's all they can get. Now dick-in-the-ass wants to tax them and punish them for living out in the country.
If you use 50 miles of roads to get to work and I use 5, you should pay more for infrastructure

Gee, the gas taxes don't cover that?

The burden will fall on those who use our roads and bridges the most.

Funny how that works out.

People who work at honest jobs use the roads much more than worthless parasites who just sit on their asses at home all day, watching TV and playing video games, and being nothing but a burden on the rest of society.

It it any surprise that a clear example of the latter wants the former to bear more of the burden?

Through gas taxes as they've always been accrued.
The more you drive the more gas you burn. Why change that now?

Seems like a sensible way to pay for infrastructure.
As we move to Electric Vehicles, a mileage tax becomes necessary
going to be allot of carbon emitted repairing bridges and hwys commie . remember commie CLIMATE CHANGE !
Obama gave the residents of the SF bay area the "New and improved bay bridge" made with Chinese bolts that promptly failed. The bridge was supposed to be built with American products. Guess where CCP Joe is going to get stuff for the new "shovel ready" infrastructure.

Electric cars don't pay anything.

You are such a Freeloader

I don’t want to pay for the roads I use, so let’s charge the people who don’t drive

Ronald Reagan was the last one to raise retirement age. Will Biden be the next?

People are living longer than they were 40 years ago
And?
AND so the old rate structure no longer works
And increasing the age to 70 won't work either.
People in their 50s (I'm 56) already have issues doing physical things they used to do at a breeze.
60s - worse. By 70? You can't work half as good as you used to be able to.
And that includes mental skills.
People need to be able to retire. It also makes room for younger folks to find jobs.

Also - we have a HUGE problem in our society of ageism. Raising the retirement age will only make that worse.

People are drawing Social Security for longer periods of time now than they were 40 years ago.

Leaves you with two choices....Have workers work longer or have them contribute more

Choose your poison

Just think of the stupidity of these uneducated Moon Bats that believed Joe Dufus when the lying sonofabitch told them that he wouldn't raise taxes on anybody making less than $450K.

Then these Moon Bats wonder why we ridicule them so much for their stupidity.

Doesn't have to be poison.
It is not that difficult of a fix:

1) Actually do something about rampant SS fraud... and not just the $3 billion a year SS claims is fraud, but fraud in disability. Some watch groups place this number easily up to $10 Billion more.
2) Only 57% of the population pay any income taxes. Over 40% get more back than they paid in. This is unsustainable.
3) Make it illegal for the federal government to use SS funds as collateral to borrow from. 14% of the national debt is money borrowed from SS. It is estimated by 2034 the government will no longer be able to pay it back.

I can go on.
