A quick review of gun laws in Florida:

-- no permits required to purchase
-- no registration
-- no license required
-- no assault weapons law
-- no magazine capacity restriction
-- no background checks for private sales
-- no local autonomy#JacksonvilleLanding

So.....if they had all of those laws, not saying they don't, wouldn't trust an anti gunner to tell the truth...... how would all of these combined stopped this kid? Let me answer that for you...it wouldn't....

If he was underage..... none of those laws would have applied to him because he couldn't have the gun in the first place.... oh yeah, and murder is illegal too....

You put the difference right in your comment - "you fuck up" meaning you make a mistake or mess up some way - that's called negligence. Unintentionally and unlawfully killing someone under the criminal code is manslaughter (you fuck up and kill somebody i.e. you were negligent). Intentionally and unlawfully killing someone is murder.

When doctos kill their patients and are sued I believe it's for negligence and failing to adhere to their industry's standard of care. If they plotted and intentionally killed their patients, that falls under the criminal code and only then would it be murder just like killing someone using any other method for unlawfully causing their death.

And just FYI, knowing the difference between manslaughter and murder is a requirement for weapons training for CCW.

I thought briefly about maybe this guy was desperate with money problems and figured he would end it all if he didn't advance to win some cash. The mayor of Jacksonville is a Republican and the shooter is from Baltimore and 24 years old. What do Florida's laws have to do with it?
