Tack strips are essential for wall to wall carpet. Who said wall to wall carpet is a necessity? Rip out the wall to wall carpet and lay down a large throw rug of your choice e.g. Persian or Americana.

That is why I suggested to hire someone because you with a blade, carpet stretcher and being on medication seem to me a recipe for disaster.

Home Depot has guys that can do it under the table and will cost you less…

Nope, it can be done in two days or less. I had this guy who I gave tar to for payment and he could lay that carpet in a room in one day and then shoot himself up with the tar…

So again get someone to do it and then just live happily and get a woman in your life…
