Whether or not Lincoln fought to end slavery (spoiler alert he didn't) doesn't really change the fact that Southern white culture was deeply deplorable in its support for slavery. But hey, if you want to put to bed the white fairytale that Lincoln and the North were noble heroes and instead teach that they was a pragmatist who was only slightly less racist than his Southern counterparts then maybe you can get job teaching that CRT somewhere to school children.
