Cruz surges in Iowa

be careful what you wish for.

If Cruz wins in Iowa, he might well become the alternative to Trump, as much as the establishment dislikes him. In this scenario, he'd have to win Iowa, place well in New Hampshire (which is generally too liberal for him to win) and then win South Carolina.

But in the General Election, Hillary would clean his clock.

Good luck with that. The lying bitch can't get people to come to her events unless she pays them. She's toast.

10 point lead over Trump:cool:

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has surged ahead to become the latest front-runner in the campaign for the Iowa caucuses, dislodging Ben Carson and opening an impressive lead over a stalled Donald Trump, a Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register Iowa Poll shows.

Cruz Soars to Front of the Pack in Iowa Poll; Trump Support Stays Flat

Yes and you can just bet the low information cowardly USMB low-life Liberals will soon be pouncing on him with their smear tactics just as they did with Ben Carson and Donald Trump. The uneducated and no class Liberals are so predictable and so damned pathetic.

Bloomberg? You're using Bloomberg? That's not a reliable poll, JROC. I would never trust Bloomberg or any poll he was involved in. He sold out.

Every poll shows Cruz surging:cool:

In a debate one on one with Cruz? Hillary would look like the fraud she is:cool:

A perspective about Iowa....

Iowa caucuses are dominated by religious social conservatives who go nowhere in New Hampshire. That means a Trump victory against polls will be all the more dramatic. He gets to frame his victory as the people vs. the dishonest media/establishment and their BS polls. The media will go unhinged and into pandemonium. If he wins Iowa, there is no stopping Trump. He rolls into NH, South Carolina, SEC. Game Over. He wins. Keeping expectations in check for Trump in Iowa is to his advantage.

It also takes A LOT OF HEAT off of Trump. With being the front runner, Cruz is going to face major scrutiny like never before. (We already see it here with people QUESTIONING Cruz eligibility!)Trump has prospered taking more incoming than anyone else for the last 6 months. Carson wilted under the heat. Now it is Cruz's challenge. Super PACS and GOPe forces will now run attack ads at Cruz instead of Trump to blunt his momentum so he doesn't run away with Iowa. They fear attacking Trump will only move more of his base to Cruz.

The key to winning Iowa is to peak at the end and turn out your voters. Listen to what Chuck Laudner, Trump's Iowa campaign manager, says about his organization. He knows what he is doing. Trump has a database of many, many tens of thousands of voters who have signed pledge cards. Trump is getting crowds to his rallies in the thousands in counties where in 2012 only a few hundred people turned out to vote for the winner.

Basically, if Trump turns out the majority of his support he wins. It's all about organization. He has the votes to win. The question is do they turn out? I think if they show up for 3 hour rallies. They'll show up for a 3 hour caucus.

I'll support Trump if he wins the nomination, but he has no ground game, and no real specifics yet

He doesn't really need them yet! None of the others have pushed any of their specifics, although ALL have them on their websites, BUT it seems a MAJORITY of Republicans are FED UP with the party, as is, and combines Trump, Cruz, and Carson vote is about 2/3 of the voters! ....ALL major people that have spoken up against the party, or are NOT POLITICIANS!

And if Cruz gets it I'll support him. I like both Trump and Cruz.
