Democrats are still accusing the President of doing what THEY have done

So are you snowflakes saying Biden NEVER said this:

“This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia, hysterical xenophobia, to uh, and fearmongering,” Biden said after the ban was announced."
- JOE BIDEN

IF you are, you have already proven to be liars. If you are saying China Joe's calling the life saving travel ban 'Xenophobic' was not down-playing the virus then you are a proven liar.

Democrats are still accusing the President of doing what THEY have done

Americans are not stupid, and we have a better memory than Democrats wish we had.

As usual, Democrats have begun to accuse the President of what THEY have done regarding COVID-19: DOWN-PLAYING THE SEVERITY OF THE VIRUS:

“This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia, hysterical xenophobia, to uh, and fearmongering,” Biden said after the ban was announced."
- JOE BIDEN

"On February 24, Nancy Pelosi infamously visited San Francisco’s Chinatown section and told Americans that “everything is fine,” and “all is well,” and encouraged Americans to shop and eat there. “Come to Chinatown,” she said. “We just want everybody not to be afraid to come to Chinatown.”

Back in February, Dr. Fauci said the risk was “low for the American public.”

“Although we don’t want people to be worried now, I think we need to realize that this could change,” he said on February 18. “So right now, don’t worry about it, be more concerned about influenza…”
- Dr. Fauci

So, clearly, once again we’ve got another coordinated bogus hit against Trump, which is largely a rehash of past criticisms that Trump “downplayed” the virus.

trump got this information from China directly I believe the book said he spoke to their president, and he heard this directly from his administration.... NOT the CDC or any health Agencies, but what our Intel Agencies were finding out.

there was not even a Pandemic team put in place at the time Trump first learned the truth....or when he spoke to Woodward about it, in early February, though I do think Trump created a Pandemic team that week.

Pelosi, and Cuomo, and Fauci even, did not know what Trump knew already, in late January.... that it was passed through the air, and 5 times the kill rate, of the most severe flu....
You just admitted Pelosi and Democrats failed to do their jobs because they were too busy running their own failed political coup. The REASON they downplayed the virus does not take away from the fact they did so, which is the point of this thread. Thank you for supporting that by attempting to defend the reason WHY they did so.

Instead of focusing on a coming pandemic House Democrats conducted the 1st Politically Partisan Impeachment in US history, based on zero crime / evidence / witnesses...and when they did talk about COVID it was to declare the exact opposite of what the President said, that the life saving travel ban was not needed, that it was Xenophobic, and that there was nothing to the virus!

If Nancy Pelosi drunkenly crashed her car into a group of kids leaving school the would demand the principal be fired for allowing them on the street.
Yeah it was Dems who lied about virus ? We didn't want to jump up and down and cause a panic? Isn't there just ONE smart Republican that can call Trump a disaster ,a filthy liar ?? We know cowards Cruz and Graham can't.

Actually, it was the filthy Dems who were so caught up in their PHONY Impeachment that they lied through their teeth then and now.

You must think we are as stupid as your ilk and have no memories.

IF anything he can be criticized for, in hindsight, given how far worse the lockdown cure was than the virus, is responding to the science too much. Of course, he had NO alternative.

Never Trumper Karl Rove actually lays it out in painful ( for you) detail:

Listen to this and get back to me about Trump " lying" about the virus. This is a time-line of the Dems' responses :

https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1303884257182519296

BUT the LEADER of the country outright lying about how serious the virus is goes right past you ??

Never happened.

If he " downplayed" it, he was saying what idiot Fauci was telling him . Which is what Fauci just said a couple of days ago. He was trying to CALM you morons hoarding toilet paper down. And he was right about the nascent OVERREACTION by so many filthy Dem-led states.

Because it is now more than obvious that BLUE states were far more onerous in damaging the economy, putting people out of work and needlessly closing schools ( of the 20,000 college students who have tested positive? Zero have been admitted to hospitals) than RED states.

And NO ONE can deny this election was a driver in this needless excessive " cure" which was far worse than the disease.

It’s crazy! How did democrats get so bad

Pandering to an increasingly bellicose minority. They sold their souls to the devil in Russia!!! and it has been downhill after that.

Panicked, as they see the plantation losing control. They are facing an existential threat at the polls and they know it.

They , and the GOP-RINOS, sold the middle class and working Americans out with globalism and open borders and trade deals starting with Bush 41.

While Pelosi & Joe are on official record downplaying the virus, Dr. Fauci just DESTROYED Woodward's BS and snowflakes' attempt to accuse Trump of what Democrats did:

"QUESTION: Did you get any sense that President Trump was downplaying the coronavirus.

"No, no, I didn’t. I didn’t get any sense that he was distorting anything." – Dr. Anthony Fauci pic.twitter.com/LXANZOY8P2

Projection became popular after Christine Blasey-Ford's little Lie-fest in concert with Feinstein, Pelosi, Schumer et al. Fortunately, body language indicated each and every little false witness their $800,000 one-day's pay Blasey-Ford earned for her trouble of reordering her past and creating President Trump's nominee for SCOTUS, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. This finding laid a foundation into the false witness's surly past in which lie after stinking lie that came out of the liar woman, including the $800,000.00 reward she received from the deep state, not to mention a generous all-expenses package American taxpayers were pick-pocketed for this interesting little lie-fest.

The most amusing part of this little theater was watching Feinstein, Schumer. Pelosi et al make obsequious overtures to the liar who showed fear of being caught in every little detail she threw in to "build credibility" where there wasn't any.

"The Book Said ..." :auiqs.jpg:

President Donald Trump admitted he knew weeks before the first confirmed US coronavirus death that the virus was dangerous, airborne, highly contagious and "more deadly than even your strenuous flus," and that he repeatedly played it down publicly, according to legendary journalist Bob Woodward in his new book "Rage."

"This is deadly stuff," Trump told Woodward on February 7.

In a series of interviews with Woodward, Trump revealed that he had a surprising level of detail about the threat of the virus earlier than previously known. "Pretty amazing," Trump told Woodward, adding that the coronavirus was maybe five times "more deadly" than the flu.

Trump's admissions are in stark contrast to his frequent public comments at the time insisting that the virus was "going to disappear" and "all work out fine."

The book, using Trump's own words, depicts a President who has betrayed the public trust and the most fundamental responsibilities of his office. In "Rage," Trump says the job of a president is "to keep our country safe." But in early February, Trump told Woodward he knew how deadly the virus was, and in March, admitted he kept that knowledge hidden from the public
.

If instead of playing down what he knew, Trump had acted decisively in early February with a strict shutdown and a consistent message to wear masks, social distance and wash hands, experts believe that thousands of American lives could have been saved.

The startling revelations in "Rage," which CNN obtained ahead of its September 15 release, were made during 18 wide-ranging interviews Trump gave Woodward from December 5, 2019 to July 21, 2020. The interviews were recorded by Woodward with Trump's permission, and CNN has obtained copies of some of the audio tapes
.

.

In a January 28 top secret intelligence briefing, national security adviser Robert O'Brien gave Trump a "jarring" warning about the virus, telling the President it would be the "biggest national security threat" of his presidency. Trump's head "popped up," Woodward writes.

O'Brien's deputy, Matt Pottinger, concurred, telling Trump it could be as bad as the influenza pandemic of 1918, which killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide, including 675,000 Americans. Pottinger warned Trump that asymptomatic spread was occurring in China: He had been told 50% of those infected showed no symptoms.

At that time, there were fewer than a dozen reported coronavirus cases in the US.

Three days later, Trump announced restrictions on travel from China, a move suggested by his national security team -- despite Trump's later claims that he alone backed the travel limitations.

Nevertheless, Trump continued to publicly downplay the danger of the virus. February was a lost month. Woodward views this as a damning missed opportunity for Trump to reset "the leadership clock" after he was told this was a "once-in-a-lifetime health emergency."

"Presidents are the executive branch. There was a duty to warn. To listen, to plan, and to take care," Woodward writes. But in the days following the January 28 briefing, Trump used high-profile appearances to minimize the threat and, Woodward writes, "to reassure the public they faced little risk."

Only Democrats engage in fear mongering - leaders keep calm and project strength and control. It was Biden who downplayed the severity of the virus by declaring the life saving travel ban was not needed, Biden who called the ban Xenophobic, Democrats who authored legislation to stop it, Biden who later admitted Trump led the way by doing the right thing, Pelosi who said all was well and encouraged Americans to visit China Town, the largest mass murderer in US history - Cuomo - who encouraged Americans to ride in packed subways and to herd in large numbers.

Biden was wrong every step of the way & when he did recommend action he recommended everything Trump had already done. Democrats have deadly advice to Americans, tried to stop Trump from doing what they later said was the right thing to do, and are now trying to re-write history to erase their ignorance/hate-driven failures. Yours in lying and being unable to admit the already proven truth. Fauci, as shown above, Destroyed Woodward's lies...and yours.

It is AXIOMATIC: Whatever they accuse Trump or GOP of THEY are guilty of. ALWAYS. 100%.

Yeah it was Dems who lied about virus ? We didn't want to jump up and down and cause a panic? Isn't there just ONE smart Republican that can call Trump a disaster ,a filthy liar ?? We know cowards Cruz and Graham can't.

"Why won't you just believe us and say what we want you to say?! You're a bad person for not accepting our worldview!"

The problem here, as always, is a lack of logical, rational thinking on your part. All you're seeing is, "I think Orange Man is Bad, and if he lied, that would make me right! So that means HE LIED!!!!" and you're not thinking at all beyond that point. Sane people know that lies are told when there is a perceived benefit to doing so, and there simply is no plausible benefit Trump could have expected to achieve from lying.

There's a second problem of the evidence of the timeline. As much as you like to pretend this is some huge, heretofore-hidden bombshell, the facts are that Trump really didn't say anything in Woodward's tape that he didn't say right out loud at the time. The possible exception is his assertion that the virus is airborne. But, setting aside Trump's known penchant for stating his beliefs and suspicions as fact, the timeline tells us that there was no scientific evidence at that time to tell us whether the virus was airborne or not. The WHO didn't officially state that it was an airborne virus until July. The CDC didn't know for sure, either. And that means, whatever he may have thought he knew or believed, Trump didn't know for sure, either, and couldn't have proven it either way.

The timeline also tells us that what he said publicly was always in line with what his experts were telling him, however much he might have misunderstood or mangled it on occasion, and his policy actions were in line with what his experts were telling him at the time. It would have been governmental malfeasance for him to run around, blurting his worst-case suspicions and concerns without solid scientific evidence to back them up, no matter how much you want to scream that he was "LYING!!!" for not doing so.

Trump downplayed the virus. He didn't want a panic.

Of course, when leftards read the word downplay, they read the word lie. Criminy, they're stupid.
It was going to disappear like magic ?? It was a hoax?? After he knew it was deadly?? Come on man ,get a gd brain.

There you go again, with your "We've been insisting he said coronavirus was a hoax for months now, so that makes it ACCEPTED, PROVEN FACT!!!!" At some point, your Peter Pan ass is going to have to grow up and realize that things don't become reality on the basis of how many times you can scream that they are.
