Democrats vs Blacks

Another failure of a thread brought to you by USMB's newest King of the Irrelevant. Good job, Chumpy, good job

.. It always gets me when little members whine about threads and post in them anyway.

It always gets me when the only people keeping an irrelevant thread alive are the people mocking it. Heckava job, Chumpy

We're talking about Democrats, try to follow along.

btw Democrats controlled 100% of the federally elected power the first 2 years of Obama's presidency and they've controlled 66.6% since then..that means Republicans have a 33.3 % responsibility and blame. Granted, Harry Reid is the cork in the butt of any progress..

Okay, let's go this way...what exactly...according to you...do blacks "want"

What would be an acceptable answer...since anything like "increase taxes on rich" "expand medicaid" would just go to your typical "democrat slave plantation give them free stuff for votes blah blah blah"

What possible answer is there? What possible answer could there be??? Or is this just a lose-lose situation you put up?

Jobs Jobs Jobs opportunity jobs jobs jobs .... start there...
What have republicans done to create jobs?

Republicans against black voters.....

In a 2009 study in Indiana, Professors Matt Barreto, Stephen Nuño, and Gabriel Sanchez found that election restrictions like voter ID laws have the greatest impact on the elderly, racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants, those with less educational attainment and lower incomes. The professors found that of the citizen adult population, 81.4% of all white eligible adults had access to a driver’s license, whereas only 55.2% of black eligible adults had the same access.

There was no photo ID requirement for voting anywhere in America before 2004.

At that time Republicans realized they must block black and Hispanic voters, or they will never win another national election, and thus was born the voter photo ID law.

Their legislation is sitting under Harry Reid's butt, can something be done about that, ask Obama...

Ask MLK and Eisenhower, while LBJ blocked the Civil Rights Act.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed under LBJ.

It was rejected by Democrats in 1957 as I recall, including Kennedy..

Also recall that it would not have never passed without Republicans.

Democrats just like to steal ALL the credit..they do that sorta thing,,

It was rejected by (Southern, White, Conservative, Christian) Democrats.

It was proposed by LIBERAL Republicans.

Most blacks will stay on the reservation with the Democrat masters. Historically, they have never stood on their own two feet and never will, not until they're forced to.

The bill passed the House with a vote of 285 to 126 (Republicans 167-19 for, Democrats 118-107 for) [4] and the Senate 72 to 18 (Republicans 43-0 for, Democrats 29-18 for).[5] President Eisenhower signed it on September 9, 1957.

The Democratic Senate Majority Leader, Lyndon Baines Johnson from Texas, realized that the bill and its journey through Congress could tear apart his party, whose southern bloc was anti-civil rights and northern members were more pro-civil rights. Southern senators occupied chairs of numerous important committees due to their long seniority. Johnson sent the bill to the judiciary committee, led by Senator James Eastland from Mississippi, who proceeded to change and alter the bill almost beyond recognition. Senator Richard Russell from Georgia had claimed the bill was an example of the federal government wanting to impose its laws on states. Johnson sought recognition from civil rights advocates for passing the bill, while also receiving recognition from the mostly southern anti-civil rights Democrats for reducing it so much as to kill it.[6]

When you take something this well know out of context you only look more foolish than thought possible.

Legislative process is like sausage...you may not be able to stomach it like some of us do. It's what separates the men from the girlyman/boys like you.

Southern, White, Christian, Conservatives versus Liberals

No one in the Confederacy was pardoned after the war, not even Jefferson Davis. That is because they hadn't committed any crime.

Civil Rights Act of 1957 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Starting in the 60s Democratic Strategists realized the importance of the Black vote and began courting African Americans. The Civil Rights movement was already gaining steam thanks to initiatives began by President Eisenhower. President Johnson gave a speech in which the Democratic courting of African Americans is rationalized.

These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now, we've got to do something about this; we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. for if we don't move at all, then their allies [The Republicans] will line up against us and there will be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there will be no way of putting the brake on all sorts of wild legislation, it'll be reconstruction all over again Lyndon Johnson

To this very day, a large majority of African Americans continue to support the Democratic party which continues to enslave Blacks under an increasingly sophisticated methodology. The type of slavery has changed, it was once forced servitude where now it is a slavery to handouts.

E.W. Jackson of Virginia, Black Politician, Republican Party candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, stated ...

...slavery did not destroy black families, but government welfare programs launched in the 1960s caused them to deteriorate....

I wonder if Blacks will ever get tired of being "played" by Democrats. The last 5 years have been hideous for Blacks. Democrats could have done something but they've done less than nothing.

Sure, They have been successful in sending out their legions of race baiters to split the races but that's about it.

Well, it took a couple of generations to get to this point and I wouldn't be surprised if, once the reversal started, it took a couple of generations to end it.

That said, the GOP has done a lousy job of delivering its message to the black community. I realize part of it is the PC thing -- they know what would be waiting for them -- but the party needs some brave leaders to take the PC shots early on, no matter what.

While there are clearly some cracks in the wall, the GOP needs to realize they ultimately need to earn it, not just wait for it.
